There is a forest fire up at Big Bear (2 1/2 hours drive east of me). When I last saw info, it had burned 10,000 acres and was 10% contained.

That's really sad, Kelli. That area is stunning. Hopefully they get it under control soon, but I'd be surprised if that happened.

Natalie they lowered our high to 110. Am I feeling a slight chill???

They lowered ours back down to 109, but added a 108 to make up for it.

Spoke too soon. They raised it back to 110. Thankfully though, they lowered the following day to 107 to make up for it.

Natalie one station just raised ours back up to 111! We hit 110 again today.

Linda, they must have lowered the temp for another day to even it all out! Mark said it must be Unpaid Intern Week on the Weather Channel web site, and they are just messing around with us! I hope he is right!

My dh says the weather people must change it every time someone new comes on the shift. I can look at ours every single morning & it will say 1 thing & I guarantee you at 9am it will change to something totally different. Same thing at night before bed I can look & when I get up @ 6 or 6:30 it's drastically changed. Then there are the changes throughout the day that occur.

My weather is a bit of a yo-yo, so I'm sure it will go up to at least 150 before it goes back down!

Ann, ours has changed every 1/2 hour today! I never check it that often, but decided to keep watching it because it kept changing so fast. It doesn't normally do that as often. Maybe once a day, but never every 1/2 hour. I'm afraid to look now! At least it is nice and cool here tonight. Had to shut some of the windows.

See, you get to cool down at night Natty. That's something at least.

They're calling for 96F. Right now it is 68F. I better get out there and do something before it gets too hot and it doesn't take much to make me too hot.

Only 46f here this morning, supposed to get up to 64f, sun and cloud, chance of a thunderstorm. Very chilly in the house I was tempted to put the furnace on.
