Form and color appear a close match. What does everyone else say? Those ruffles are sure pretty.

It would be worth a try to grow a comparison plant I think.

I agree it is a good possibility. Does yours look more bluish in person? If so then it is worth your time to get Skywalker for comparison.

Greg - sorry your Toffee won't bloom this year. Mine took awhile to decide to put up a bloom stalk so there may still be a chance!

I got this one, like many, as a bonus from the PNW sale last summer, and I am really loving it's color. The horns and red orange beards only really show off their stuff from the side. Also, the bloom really gets fuller looking as it ages.

Well, this was suppose to be Evening Velvet, which is a lovely solid purple. This is clearly not, but is a really pretty bloom in the garden. Very very hard to capture it's true color though. Think I will post it in the NOid thread too, but anyone have any ideas who this is? Greg?

Several have mentioned PNW. Would one of you help a new reader out? What or who is that? I checked the Green Pages, but that didn't help Sighing!

The PNW sale is actually on the Cubits site but everyone here gets very excited when it comes around. Basically the vendors/hybridizers have a sale of their new fancy iris. The leftovers are then put up for a "first come first served" sale on Cubits. The reason the iris people like me get excited by this sale is the prices. Worth it but you have to be quick and lucky.

It was quite late in the year for me also...but every one I got from the PNW sale survived, multiplied and have bloom stalks on them. I am quite surprised and pleased.

Oh, Lordy...that leads to yet another question! What is Cubits? As someone who works in IT, I know how easy it is to use terms the average Joe doesn't get. Consider me a real newbie to all of this Confused Thanks for your patience!

Leslie,

I had the same issue. This bloomed in my "Evening Velvet" spot. Not sure what it is as it does not ring any bells for me. Kinda bummed. This is the garden that I should have dug up last year to separate things but never got to. Thumbs down

True Mary Ann - I think it is quite lovely. It is almost like a bee pod that is a cross between Greg's Evening Velvet and Outrageous Fortune.

Well, some NOid work to do in the off season!
