We're back!!! We had a wonderful day visiting Superstition Garden today! Sherry (and her friend Craig), Barbara (and her friend Lauren, and Marilyn (and her friend Chris) went!

It will take time to go through the photos...but here's a teaser...beginning at the beginning of the alphabet...here is a photo of Absolute Treasure!

Barbara, Lauren and Marilyn continued on up the hill to Mariposa Iris where we enjoyed a wonderful tour of Doug's many gardens...(Iris, Vegetables, and 14 themed gardens). And here is one of Doug's seedlings:

I wish we could have gone to Doug's garden too.. But I got home feeling very satisfied after a day with good company and beautiful Iris everywhere. Rick and Roger were engaging hosts, and made sure to spend a little time with all their guests (and there was a steady stream).
I have to sift through all my pictures, but here are a few..

We saw lots of great beards.. Sadly this one has a tendency to bloom out..

a couple of happy iris nuts. The nut on the left did a great job coordinating and putting this all together (thank-you Marilyn!!)... and the one on the right kept me entertained for 5 hours in the car (that's Craig, my down-the-road neighbor)

It was a beautiful day! Unfortunately between having some people who did not want their photos taken/posted and being so entranced by all the flowers I didn't get any 'people photos' *Blush* But I took lots of flower photos...I hope that makes up for it!

I'm sorry the timing didn't work out to meet up with you Brad...I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Marilyn.. Your pictures look Awesome !! and it sounds like you guys had a great trip. I have the same problem always get lost in the flowers Smiling nothing wrong with that. Wish I could of met you all, I will be there Friday had to delay the trip for a week work has been crazy here lately, hopefully my timing is still good and the heat they are getting the next few days does not make them go to fast. I am hoping to visit Doug again this year his bloom is a little behind them usually.

Tom.. Lot's of Pictures Smiling to come sounds like Napa will be at peak next weekend as as well should be a lot of fun

There should be plenty of flowers next week. Although many are passing quickly in the warm weather there are many that had not opened yet, so you should have a whole new batch of flowers to photograph! Doug's garden was blooming nicely, possibly closer the Superstition's bloom this year...but again, there were plenty of blooms yet to open! Thumbs up

If I were not going to be out of town I would come up to meet you, it's only a 45 minute drive for me...but unfortunately I will be in Southern California next weekend. Sad Maybe next year the timing will work out better!
