Anna, your pergola is going to be lovely! What kind of seating are you going to put in there?

They are going to put a bench seat along one of the long sides. And I have a picnic table. We also purchased a couple of "swinging loungers" at the Philly flower show 2 years ago. Pic to follow when we get that all done. Other than that, if anyone comes we'll tell them to bring a lawn chair if they want, or we'll go get a couple out of the RV.

I love it that you have the arch that belonged to your mother. Very nice! I'm sure the wisteria will cooperate and be lovely on your pergola. It looks strong enough to hold it just fine.

The builders have packed up and left.............project completed. The guy on the right is the boss.

They have never built a pergola; this was their first. And our sunroom 3 years ago was the first thing like that they did. They do remodeling, build houses, but never done a sunroom or pergola.

The bench seat will be nice.

edited to add: that hole in the floor will be cemented in. It had to do with the furnaces when they were in there.

It really is gorgeous, and so sturdily built. It will handle the wisteria with no problems! I've seen wisteria tear down some flimsy porches and pergolas.

Very nice looking pergola, it will easily handle the wisteria. The design reminds me of our arbor that my DH built.

We moved the picnic table in, and it FIT where I wanted to put it. Yay!!!!!!!!! However, by putting the picnic table in that space, that took care of having a water feature, as that was where I was wanting to put it. The picnic table down in the "main" area would have taken up too much room, so I'm good with things the way they are.

We hung the hanging chairs, and brought in the firepit. That will not be where it is in the picture, as the SU wanted it out of the way so he can cement that hole closed tomorrow.

Too bad you already have a fire pit because that hole could have been a good spot to build one and take advantage of the hole. All in all love it and great crew you have there!! Now to think of another project to challenge them with... Whistling Whistling
