Yesterday I planted the plants that I dug up out of Mom's flower bed. Niece that bought her house isn't into so many plantings, so my siblings and I are digging what we want so we'll still have some of Mom with us.
I didn't have room for much, but this is just right.
Oh, and I forgot to add that yesterday the SU and I put up another cattle panel for the wisteria to climb. I told the SU that once it gets to the top of that, it's on its own to get itself to the pergola top. LOL We HAD to do that before it started leafing out. It's got tons of leaf buds, so a few days of warm weather and it should take off like gangbusters. I hope...............
The wisteria showing green and the cattle panel we hung from the top of the pergola for it to continue its journey to the top and beyond.
I planted the sweet potato vines yesterday. I'll have to cover them at night, which is not a big deal. I put some beach towels over them last night and they were nice and cozy.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

I can't wait till the wisteria co-operates and covers all of the cattle panel and climbs onto the top of the pergola itself. Don't know if that will happen this year or not.

I love the way you've incorporated your plants! Can't wait to see pics of all of the blooms with the pergola and you sitting there with a nice glass of wine enjoying it

Wow that was fast
Don't squat with yer spurs on!
People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved
I asked the SU if I could hang my *rather large* fern on the one end of the pergola. I also found a place to put a shepherd's hook in on the outside and hang my cleodendrom. The wisteria is blooming gangbusters, and pretty much looks like it WILL make it to the top of the pergola at some point this summer.
I also found a place for the *rather large* staghorn fern.
The cup holders we made work on the chair swings. Anyone want to come and sit a spell?
I put my 3 biggest brugs on the north side, as the pots won't be visible from the "entering" side of the pergola. I'm hoping for lots of blooms and scent later on.
Yes, James, considering I just bought the wisteria a year ago! But it was probably 6 feet tall when I purchased it. It spread quite nicely last summer. The cattle panel "trellis" is doing its job.
