It was 105 here today. We can hear the thunder. Hope the rain isn't going to miss us.

Weather guy is reassuring us that we will get a good soaking starting tomorrow and lasting most of the week. Hope everyone else will get some too. Thumbs up

Dumped 2" out of the gauge this a.m. Very welcome. Things were thirsty because there are almost no standing puddles. Cooler temps are really welcome and unexpected in the middle of August. No triple digits in the 10 day forecast! Also more chances for rain next week. They essentially removed any more rain chances for Sat., Sun., and Mon. when those were supposed to be the best days for getting rain. Guess it got here a bit early and played out faster.

Very happy! We had 3/4" last night and of course the cooler temps are great!

We're getting hit now. Power just flickered. I hope it stays on. Looks like this could last a while.

Looks like we're missing out for now. I went out to fill up some jugs with R/O water this afternoon. Got 1 1/2 filled before the humidity drove me back into the house.

Wow! I heard the drip drop on the window and ran outside to witness a 2" rain on our patio! That's raindrops every 2" apart. What a bummer.... Thumbs down
Hoping for better luck overnight. Glad for anyone that did get a good soaking rain today! Thumbs up

Got about 3/4 inches last night and then a brief shower this morning. I spent the morning catching up on weeding, so easy to pull and also pulled a bunch of ground cover that was way overgrown. Felt like I really accomplished a lot, filling two big trash cans.

Didn't look at the gauge at the new place but they had more rain
Came home last night to heavy rain and this morning 3.25
We weren't expecting much rain so didn't get the smaller barrels hooked up at the new place D'Oh!

Since yesterday evening, just drizzle and light rain! August is a great time to get this. As long as there's no flooding like Louisiana had, it's perfect!

I agree, so far our chances here are 80% for the next four days. The ground is even getting squishy. Hopefully this will keep any more leaves from my tree in the front yard from turning yellow and falling off.

We had a frog-strangler rain which then turned into a chunk-floater, and then it began to really rain hard Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Love this kind of rains in August, all my plants will go crazy next week. Thumbs up and it really helps for my September Fall planting.

Wow Thomas, I thought frog-strangler is as high as it went. I didn't know about chunk-floaters. I can already see my brown, dead looking grass turning green and growing. I can also see the 'Code Enforcement' people counting the fines before they get them for high grass.
