Yes, Aztec Beauty is a beauty indeed! I have it in my garden and last year divided it, so am not sure how it will do this year. But I just love it.

Larry, I just love that last picture of yours, the canteloupe colored NOID! So pretty Thumbs up

blue23rose,
I am so glad you used "cantaloupe" in the description of it. That is what I am putting on the NOID tag for the plant (NOID Cantaloupe Melon ). That is exactly what it reminds me of!

I have one of those NOID's with a tag and it is labeled as Cantaloupe. Although I think I misspelled it! I got mine from a friend last year and right now it is in scape stage.

This daylily was named after a beautiful friend that is no longer with us. Her name is Marty Wray, a pal from Tinker's a now defunct daylily forum. This daylily would be that next to last plant to ever leave my garden.

My spider offering, Long Stocking.

Wow! Kabby, I can see why Marty Wray would not leave your garden. It is gorgeous! Those are some beautiful Munson's, too Thumbs up

I have Long Stocking and really like it. Mine is probably about a week away from blooming yet.

These two are blooming at a friend's house today. Both are NOID. Any guesses on who they are?

Hi All!
I haven't been on here in so long I had to re-register. Like I said to Pam (GardenGlory) earlier, when the DL start blooming I miss you guys! I've loved seeing your pics. Thanks to all who posted them. I appreciate seeing "real" garden shots. Sometimes what you get doesn't look like what's posted on the hybridizer's website! 'Nuff said about that.

My bloom started a week ago so here's what I've had since then:

See if you can match the names to the faces on today's blooms...
Thumb of 2015-05-23/Lalambchop1/0d5501

Buddy's Red Head - a very nice bonus from Tink. First bloom ever today.

Carolyn Mersiovsky FFO - the color is a little off in this shot. I have a hard time getting the intensity of reds and purples.

Clearly A Thrill - first bloom ever today and I'd not seen it in person before. This knocked my socks off! The colors are clear and they have a great contrast. Jan suggested it for UF tet dbl breeding and I can see why. I just love it!

Garlands for Judy - another first ever bloom and I like it a lot. Clear color. I love pink. Hurray!

Viva Glam Girl - got this from Tink this year and it's a definite winner.

I like to see blooms together to get perspective. Clockwise from the top: Clearly A Thrill, Viva Glam Girl (yesterday's bloom), Garlands for Judy
Thumb of 2015-05-23/Lalambchop1/64fb4a

Dragonfly Dawn FFO

Fin and Feather - the color's way off on this. It's more a dark red-purple.
Thumb of 2015-05-23/Lalambchop1/ed9413

Freaky Good FFO - I was disappointed in the color on this. Was expecting more pink and blue but because it sometimes poly's and sometimes has a bit of doubling I'm happy to be using that great scape.

Inez Morgan Echerd FFO

Jammin's Diamonds in the Sky FFO

Jelly Basket - I get different looks on this one. A friend says she think this ID's wrong because the AHS pic is very different. What do y'all think?
Thumb of 2015-05-23/Lalambchop1/22be30

Little Damsel FFO

Malachite Prism FFO

Pompous Poly FFE - Wouldn't you know, I had two scapes of this and after the first bloom the deer ate them both. Sad I have so much milorganite in the beds now you can smell it from across the street!
This is the first time I've seen this in person. I was impressed with the size, form and big green throat but thought the tepals would have more pink in them. Maybe that will come as it settles in. Do any of you have experience with this?

Schnickel Fritz FFO - love, love, love this cutie. Very short but decent sized bloom and about 50% poly as well as double.

Tetrad - I think. Lost the label to this one but the stats match Tetrad. If any of you have it I'd like your input on the ID.

Thanks Kabby and Vickie... Thank You!

Larry, I added what was believed to be double trouble last year but it was a divided piece shared from my mom. I hope that the division didn't affect it but the NOID is simply beautiful to have. I guess I need to do some research so I can properly id it... Shrug!

Have a great day! I tip my hat to you.

These are 2 Munsons that are blooming for the first time for me. Neither has a photo on the database so I will be posting there in a little while.

Mr Munson was known for his hybridizing with tets but this oldie is a dip. It's a FFO for this plant, color description orchid mauve blend, registered in 1959.

Undefinable
Now that I got it and it has been blooming, I dont have a clue of what to do with it pollen wise, so Ive just been ejoying watching it change every bloom, saved the pollen for next year, after I see some of its babies, maybe Ill have a better idea of what to do with it.

the name. As you can see Im kinda below the flower. While taking the picture I fell in a dog hole Whistling Angry

One of those blooms I was disappointed in, not the first bloom either, small and not shaped all that well. I feel sure it will improve with time. I am not a big fan of doubles at the moment.

Pam - Having fallen in holes before while photographing daylilies, I can identify with your experience. I hope you didn't hurt yourself. Undefinable is certainly a unique daylily. I was intrigued when I saw it on Nicole's site. The bonus is a real beauty. Let us know the name when you find it.

Larry - You really have a lot of pretty ones blooming now. I especially love the feathered eye on Bonnie Corley.

Pam, obviously you make Undefinable AND the pretty bonus into poly ones.

Another fun morning here with lots of new ones. Great weather for hybridizing. I have so much milorganite in my beds (to keep the deer out) I had flies buzzing around.

Buddy's Wild and Wonderful - FFE - (First Flower Ever in my garden)
I've seen pics of this and some look very different from each other. I found it had different looks all on the same bloom! Great plant habit. This thing is putting up scapes everywhere.

Leslie, I have no tet poly's, so I put it on Lovely Connfection ( double) and on every tet, ufo I have. Nicole had a sdlg. from it x 1000 teeth, and it had colored teeth. That and a really bad year Whistling is what made me get it. I might be pulling up the rear, but I hope to have some fun with it.

Did you see the picture from floyd cove of KP. That is the first time ive seen 'the puzzle' in bloom, and its distinct markings I just love. Mine never made it to its first year. I might need to get over my snit about that and get another.
