Considering the tornado and hail, I'm very lucky to have any plants, much less bloom. But the first daylilies started blooming 4 days after the main event.

Some daylily scapes got broken off and some lost buds, but the damage could easily have been so much worse than it was. They have been loving the rain :).

I'm sitting here drooling into my coffee over that 'Harbor Blue' & 'Kimberly Wolf', Jon. Donald, thanks goodness more wasn't lost for sure. Love those two you've shared. Especially that 'Tigereye'. Thanks Lin, that is the first view every morning when I open the blinds. Talk about an eye opener...

Yes, it went right by the house. Sounded like ten trains going full blast. Hail also. I'm not sure, but I suspect the scapes were probably knocked off by the hail rather than the wind. The wind was probably from the very outer edge. Damage at the house was minimal, especially considering how bad it is close by.

Several days ago we had several tornadoes near us. None of them were very powerful though, and I don't think that any of them touched down on our place.

Today's Munson, Maison Carree

These were all looking good today...along with hundreds of others.
Made it over to Floyd Cove, got lots of pictures, but dont think I can get them up until tomorrow.

Whoops..cross posted. Really like the Munson. I now only like the flowers, but the history of it all as well.

Pam. Is Floyd Cove not incredible? I went on a walkabout for approx. 2 hours. My poor wife, who is not a flower person, was a trooper. Even got a tour of the seedling bed by Guy for about 30 minutes. The way his mind works is amazing. The vision he has for the direction he wants his program to move is staggering. Had one day in Orlando area. Glad I chose his garden.

From my garden today London Tower, still holding its own, long after I had faded.

You're probably all tired of seeing this one, but I think it's amazing - a second year clump of my Siloam Double Classic has been in constant bloom for over a month now, and shows no sign of slowing down! Two more new scapes when I took this pic this morning, and little if any rust on the plant.

My SDC does not bloom above the foliage most of the time, so is a little disappointing. I could cut the foliage, but haven't. It is such a beautiful bloom!
