When we lived in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, on Kihapai St, we had two huge old Plumerias trees in the front yard. They were in bloom most of the time, so we made Leis for every occasion!
I LOVE their fragrance!

We came back to the states after our tour was over there. My Mom ordered me a double Orchid Moana Loa Lei for my High School Graduation It was gorgeous!

I think it is wonderful that you are making Leis! It brings back alot of memories!

After one of my classes this past week I had a bunch of blooms left over. Here is my Sunday morning joy!! Even the cats enjoyed it! Aloha!!

I have one or two, but these were imported from Hawai'i for a lei making class I taught!

My Celadine has never stopped blooming this winter. Not many flowers there, but hey, even one is better than none. Couldn't make a wrist-lei though.

No but most of them sure do smell good! I've never seen a plumerias I didn't like! Those and white ginger! They smell sooooo good!

Today is the first time this year that I've had enough flowers in my own yard to make a lei!!

Drool I may be a month away before I can make a lei.

I made two leis this morning. The first one was inspired by Memorial Day (and no, that is not a bright blue plumeria...)


The second one is made entirely of 'Beacon Lights' blooms; the blooms are large and reflex and make for a lovely full lei. They are also intensely fragrant. This is one of my favorite lei flowers.

Is the "white" Madame Gallibert flowers?
