Kyla,
Is it always this pale or does it show more color sometimes?

I have this one. I think it might be Fashion Police. Sorry I didn't measure it but I'd guess about 6".

Every time I took a picture of this one it was all twisted up. I don't think this one bloomed before it lost it's ID. I do have a master list, it's just going through the descriptions painstakingly... one... at...a... time. Thumbs down

Can someone help me? It popped up. In my garden, it has an awesome prolif but I have no idea where it came from or the name. It's tall about 36" and about 5" to 6" wide bloom. Confused
I was just sitting here enjoying the company, plants have a lot to say if you just take the time to listen.

This is soooo long after your NOID post, but it has a lot on common with mine. It has the same colors, mine also gets darker later in the day, and I THINK yours also has sepals with longitudinal creases along the edges like mine.

What do you think?

They do look a little similar Ken. But I think Peggy's NOID has a yellow/orange throat, while yours has kind of an olive green throat.

Unless you know where it came from, it may be impossible to ID. Daylilies look so much different from day-to-day, and are highly dependent on temperature, humidity, soil chemistry, fertilizer and water provided, that unless it has some extremely distinguishable characteristic, the chances of figuring it out are slim.

I can say that it bears a strong resemblance to 'Ed Brown', and I'm thinking it may be a first-generation 'Ed Brown' kid, for instance, 'Belle Cook'. Take a spin through 'Ed Brown' in the database here, under the link "Child plants". There are "only" 470 listed, and about a quarter of them resemble your picture to some degree.

Aw...dang. You're right. It's okay...even if it had been the same, it would have remained a NOID. 🤣

James is right. It is very difficult to find out a name. Yours does resemble Belle Cook, but the color of it in the database pictures here is all over the place. Another reason it is so hard to identify is camera settings.

So...I was finally organizing the jillion daylily pics on my phone, sorting by cultivar then by date.

In the process, I got a gander at this pic of Dallas Star:
Thumb of 2020-02-23/MrKGDickie/eef42a

Then I checked out my other pics of DS. The overall flower shape is very similar to my peachy-pink NOID. They both have raised midribs. DS also has twin longitudinal creases on the sepals, just like my NOID:
Thumb of 2020-02-23/MrKGDickie/2b2cef

Can this type of characteristic pass from parent plant to offspring? If so, it may be that my NOID is a DS offspring. This could've been self-pollenization, or even crossing with one of my parents' other daylilies, like Frans Hals.

Whatever the case, my peachy-pink NOID has "seedling" written all over it, so I can stop trying to ID it!
Hardy hibiscus are a hobby, but daylilies are an obsession.

@signet, if you copy the BB Code above the image, you get this:

and I'll tag Leslie @Lalambchop1 as that came from a 5 year old post and she hasn't posted on the site in a few months. That image she posted in her thread is an exact copy that Vic posted and the caption shows it came from Liliana Flower Farm so maybe a correct ID was found and Leslie gave them permission to use it. Shrug!

So, I'm super late to this party but I'm wondering if the last Daylily in Kidfishing's post might be Siloam Sambo.

I've got a question about this beautiful little plant

It's EM in my garden, short, small blooms, very pretty. I had it in my head that it was " Doll's House but there is no such plant.
