Can you access property records in your county to see who owns it?
Maybe you could distract doggie with a HUGE bone while you haul it away.
If you get it out and home, photograph again so we can see it up close and personal - although your photo is very good given your circumstances with angry dog.
Yes, I'm sleuthing today...although there are too many obstacles that need to be overcome and worked out before I make any moves...namely how heavy the thing is and WHO I can enlist to help me ! Just kidding. I wouldn't attempt to steal it.
This brings to mind that episode where Lucy and Ethel tried to steal John Wayne's footprints in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater.
Don't buy a plane ticket just yet.
Somehow, the thought of you being as miniscule as you are, and me being 6'4" smacks of a Laurel and Hardy sketch.
This operation would have to be carried out under the cover of darkness...not mention that it's right on a busy street.
This is what I get for snooping around.
Oh but!! There advantages to being little. I can hide in tiny places and you can't.
Get lost in a crowd. . .
And then I'd come bail you out.
See? Advantages.

Ahhhh Mike, I'd be consumed by it too!
And you can't act too interested because if they want to steel it, they might change too much. What a great piece. I think even mailing them a little note that;s real low key might work...asking if they'd part with it.
I'm such a dunce! Sharon when I opened this thread and saw your pretty smile and the hat,(Love both) I went back several pages looking to see when you changed Dummy me, I finally "got it" Think this is one of those things I should keep to myself!
Still have the stomach problem and up for more tests soon.
Now you don't look so strict / tough! Hmmm, actually very friendly & fun. Oh, did say I like it? I do!
I've basically given up on hearing from whoever lives there. I've left notes on the door and...nothing. The curtains on the window look like they haven't been opened in years. They're all yellowed and look like if you tried to move them they'd just fall apart.
SOMEONE has to be feeding the dog(s) but I never see any life around there.
It seems like a colossal waste for that cool piece to just be sitting there unappreciated and surrounded by junk.
