I'm going up to Kentucky tomorrow to spend a few days with Jackie Canner. Wednesday we're having lunch with David Kirchhoff and Mort Morss. It will be my first trip to their "new" place. They were wonderful mentors when I was just getting started and taught me a lot about picking seedlings. I'm planning on taking lots of pics to share with y'all. We may get over to the Rice's also.

Fighting Fire almost looks too good to be real. What a beauty!!!!

Still looking at a sea of green outside in the garden, love coming in to see all your images! Vanishing Mist is still on the "want" list from last year, Nelson Mandela has been added as well and I do so like those edge no eye cultivars.....Willow Dean Smith came through our winter fine but it will be another week or two before it is blooming.

You will have a wonderful time! I went to a nice daylily farm today and added 10 older cultivars but still so lovely.

I wish I could join you at Daylily World but I am heading west in the moring.

Claudia, Karen, Cindy, and Leslie - Fighting Fire has just been fabulous. I bought only one fan, and it quickly split into four. It's reblooming right now on a scape with 20 buds. And more scapes are on the way. It is definitely my favorite new one, and possibly my favorite of nearly 700 I grow. It's too bad the hybridizer's photo doesn't show the true red color. It's an outstanding red that can really take the heat. There has not been one bad bloom. And that's saying a lot considering how much rain we've had and my on again off again thrip problem.

That is a wonderful review for Fighting Fire, Debra. We have certainly had more than our share of rains too! It is most beautiful!
