Not bad at all. When I see your seedling I regret that I send the seeds I had from the same cross like you, to my friend in USA.

This was my best selling Trumpet/aurelian, "Awesome". I sent some lilies to a friend here when I am but the gophers got ALL the trumpets. Anyone with one to trade please contact me.

Lisa---I started some Lavender Frost X Chief Chetzemoka seed last Spring, 2012. I got it from the NALS 2012 seed listing, item# 62-188 by Joe Nemmer (PA), so, right there, we know where at least one Lavender Frost is at--for hopefully some scales if nothing else.

For readers info--I started a few of Lisa's crosses last Spring and have a few more scheduled to be planted this Spring. My hope is one day I can return some of the best selections from these back to Lisa if she can find a special place in her garden for them.

Lorn,that is really great thinking.
I had a GF who was locally renowned watercolor painter.
She became suddenly ill and was unable to paint ever again.
Those of us who had original paintings from her, donated them to her family so they could make reproductions for her to sale.

As far as I am concerned, there are not enough Trumpets and Aurelians on the market. I love the black-eyed Aurlians and here is a seedling from Brian Bergman that he calls Burnt Toast

Ramona, I couldn't agree with you more! I believe we might see somewhat of a resurgence of them in the near future and most of those might be in the intermediate height range. I've been collecting and crossing them ever since I realized they were losing ground to Orienpets (about 20 years ago). And now, Trumpets and Aurelians are central to my lily growing. It's quite a challenge (and fun) to find an older cultivar.
