Thank You! Cleta & Tom.
Believe me it doesn't get any easier with age, and I guess I never really 'retired'. I'm determined to continue doing this. Gardens keep me out of the recliner and away from the TV. Give me a shovel and a hoe & I'm happy! (Therapy. Smiling )

I'm redoing an overgrown, crowded, weedy bed. Sometimes it seems easier to just dig everything and start over.. I will keep 2-3 starts of the ones I like the best and the rest can go for our UIS sale Saturday. I'm going to pot what I am keeping and my orders when they come and then work on improving the soil in the bed for the next few weeks . Then before winter sets in I will plant the iris established in pots and wait for next spring. Pictures later.

Leon, I love white too, (and every color in the rainbow) but whites make everything planted by look brighter and shine.

It does not, And every year when I am digging new spots for more iris or dividing perennials or even deadheadING, I am starting to wonder how long at my age I will be able to do the work. But that in itself keeps me going during growing season, and savoring those evenings of recuperation in my recliner.

I agree that a white iris is just an exceptionally beautiful bloom in the garden. I don't grow immortality but I should. I may have to get that one to see if it will re-bloom for me.

Hopefully it is still up for sale when I do next year's orders. I limited myself to modest orders from 2 vendors before I saw this site.
