I knew you must have those, LOL! Cute or What is adorable! I like the warm tones in it. They are coming up with some great coral tones in beards, so hopefully we'll see blues with pink beards in our lifetimes. I could see Thomas Johnson coming up with that- he's really taking pinks to new levels. Do you grow Howler?

Jan, I'm really drawn to clear lavenders too. Both those with white or lavender beards, and those with brightly contrasting beards. I'm so excited to see Enough is Enough bloom with those big orange beards!

Really - you scored!

I'm hoping that Dee still has some Howler left. I ordered in April from
her compost sale, and sent a check. There was a glitch somewhere. Fortunately
I had a copy of the cancelled check to show her. I went to the end of the line, I'm afraid.

No, I don't have Howler but if Debra's survives the winter and makes increases I am first in line! And I cant wait. Another that she is going to share an increase with me is Platinum Jubilee.

I know the beards are orange but they are getting closer. lol

Oh I see that pink cast toward the center- wonderful! And if Debra has issues with Howler, I'll have one for you. It was much prettier than catalog photos, and made me think of you immediately.

I got this one last year, it's close to blue with pink beard. I almost lost it, but it's coming back, now it has to survive the next winter and spring rot period!

I have heard that too. I will check with her early next year. I think a good pink even with a white beard would be gorgeous. I know they are out there. So many pinks have orange beards and tend to glow with that orange light. I like the ones with blue beards because they tend to be the cool pink colors.

That one was high on my wish list Tom, but when you said it did not do well for you I hesitated on buying it just yet. I hope it thrives in several zones and then I will feel better about investing that much. It is a beauty!

Bonnie, we're birds of a feather on pinks. I'm really excited to see 'Still the One'- I think the beard is light or white on that one.

Tom, that is a beauty!

I had thought rot was something I'd never dealt with till this year with some new ones, but now I'm wondering if its something that has been happening all along with established clumps and I just hadn't noticed. Some that had rot issues this year have increases that are doing fine. I just left them alone, didn't try to doctor them in any way and simply observed. Only a couple died completely, the other few effected seem to be rebounding just fine.

I love this combination of color! Is it kind of light blue/lav with peach hafts and beards?

From the photos that I have seen of it you are right, Caitlin. Some photos show more peach and some less, some show it with more blue and some with more lavender. What a fun thing to grow such a beautiful iris and see what it wants to be in your own garden.

I had a little one like that bloom this year. A little SDB named Sand Song. I had seen photos where it was muddy and some with just colored lines. I had hoped for it to bloom with more of the color that is on the Winterberry web site and it did. I am not a good photographer but this is a little bit of Sand Song

Bonnie, Sand Song has more warmth and is more vibrant than the name would imply.
