Thx Jim, couldn't remember when I got back to the house, but my names were kinda close! No fragrance detected at 0800 am on any of them, but in the GH maybe they would be more noticeable than outside.

I am finally home, very tired but will get pictures of my bloomers in the cage this evening when the light is better. Glad to see you back, Tara! I have arthritis in my feet, so I sit with them up on my desk while I am on the computer.

Those are all just gorgeous, Bert. I had a couple of small Toshie Aoki crosses but they both died of black rot a couple of years ago, sadly. Think I need to get a new one, now that I know better how to care for them. My catts are all doing well even after 10 days of my absence but I had them under cover so they were not getting drenched when it rained, and would dry out well between waterings. Hurray! I've made a gain on the black rot!

I find some of my catts take a few days to develop their scent. My big NOID catt with the blazing sunset colors is in bloom again, and has two more spikes coming. It has no scent yet, so I know the blooms are quite new. After a day or two, the flowers smell like spice cookies.

My big NOID Cattleya has another spike open, and is starting to smell delicious. Lc. Renate beginning her summer show, and the V. Jairak Heartthrob held on for my homecoming, although the rain has 'bled' the color of the dots into the petals so it is a striking pink/purple with fainter dots now. Started out cream with dark red dots.

Wow Elaine! Such beauties!
Only activity on any of my Catts is roots, and new pseudo bulbs, so for now I'm happy with that.
Though I do look forward to flowers...Someday! Sighing!

I agree Tara, my catts that bloom two or three times per year now did take a while to settle in and get happy. That big sunset NOID one was one of the first orchids I bought, and after it finished blooming (was in bloom when I got it) I re-potted it into a way too big pot, and it never bloomed at all for 2 years. But it grew lots of new pb's and is now a very vigorous big plant that blooms like crazy, twice a year for a couple of months. Nearly the same amount of time for Renate to get going, after one wispy little bloom its first year.

Those are all nice, Ursula. Do you like to collect compacts and miniatures or just have a lot of everything?

Ken, I simply pick up what strikes my fancy, provided it is not a cold grower. I do better with Orchids growing warm to intermediate.

Elaine, both Catts are nice but you are really doing well with that Vanda! She's a beauty.

Ursula, I love the form on Sacramento Rose and you have done very well with the Bulbo. I assume you are keeping it very wet.

Some new blooms from the OC. First up is Rby. Lime Cooler 'Krull Smith' (Rlc. Memoria Helen Brown x B. nodosa) that I bought a year or so ago in Apopka from Jim Krull. The flower is large but I haven't noticed a scent yet. The roots are consuming the plastic basket.

Next is Psychopsis. Mendenhall ' Hildos' (Pyp. Butterfly x Pyp. papilio). The plant has two spikes and one has branched into three heads. Nice large flower.

The alba version is also blooming:

Finally, a little NOID Phal. that I picked up in Apopka for $5.

This Windows 10 is giving me a fit. I hope I learn it quickly.

Lovely flowers, Jim. Your Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos' is really amazing. Mine is just getting smaller and smaller each year. I think it is making me suffer while it dies.

I also have Lime Cooler, but no sign of a bloom so far. Didn't yours develop some more purple on the lip? I thought it just had the red stripe down the middle last time.

I'm right with you on Windows 10, too. Marsh messed with my computer big time to make the switch while I was away, so there's a lot of stuff I'm trying to find again.

Jim,Is the Psychopsis a warm grower? How much light does it need? I see them at the local shows, but haven't jumped in yet. Let me know about I10. Iv'e been getting the prompts, but want to wait until I hear some feed back. I'm getting too old to learn yet another new system.

Elaine, all of my catts, are in the original pots. Very small, I'm guessing, maybe 2 1/2-3" pots. I've learned from all the posts here that they very much prefer "small shoes".(?)
I'll take pics in the morning...
I truly am surprised that they are showing such wonderful root and pseudobulb growth! But I'm also concerned that when they do in fact need to be re-potted, I'll have a difficult time getting the roots to let go of the pots that they are in right now.
Again, I'll take pictures in the morning, and look forward to opinions, and suggestions about re-potting....

Such a pretty bloom, Melissa!

I think I need another Psychopsis, seeing Jim's beauty! I lost mine a few years ago, while we were on vacation. (My fault, it was parked in a poor spot)
Jim, those are some serious roots on that pretty Lime Cooler! Lovey dubby

And yes, the Bulbo tremulum gets flooded once daily, it blooms every Summer for me.

I should say no problems here ever with Windows whatever number! Smiling ....as Ursula uses Apple stuff since 2004 and never looked back.
I am very happy nowadays using my iPad Air, there was no real learning curve. ( a chat at the Apple store at time of purchase) Btw the Apple Watch is a wonderful piece, I bought one just recently and I love it. Again, a chat at the store and some online videos helped me there.
I can always jump on Klaus' IMac if I need to, as to download pictures from the camera. But even that happens less and less. I took all of those German pictures with my IPad and IPhone.
The latter mostly for taking city pictures.
Gee I sound like a commercial...... Hilarious!
