Ken the Onc Butterfly isn't completely open in that picture. I should probably post an update. That is not an old bloom on the David Sander. It is just the last flower to open in a series that began a month or more ago. They just kept coming.

Thanks for looking into that Kathy and Ursula, i think its the Lc. Trick or treat 'orange'. Weird theres none registed with Guatemalensis. There similar i rekon and mine looks like both.
I only see Ctt. Trick or Treat 'Orange Princess' and 'Orange Magic' no magic by itself. Bree, whenever the x is written on the tag, it is likely not registered. If someone does the process to register it, it may get registered later.
Jim, my fault I did a terrible job of getting my thought pattern across as usual, I could never write a book. I knew that David Sander had been blooming for some time (actually thought it was more than a month) but to have a fresh bloom at this time is impressive if you get my drift.
Regarding the picture you posted for Oncidium Butterfly (Onc. sandarae X Onc. papilio), the picture you posted looks more like a dancing lady type such as Onc. Gower Ramsey, Kaizumic Delight or Sweet Sugar.
Oncidium Butterfly or Psychopsis Butterfly (Onc. sanderae X Onc. papilio) should look like this.
Ken, I know. I have a couple of Psychopsis Butterflies and they do well for me. The reason I called this dancing lady Oncidium "Butterfly" is because that is what is written on the name tag that came with it. When it comes to common names, folks have their way with them. Thinking about it, they seem to have their way with the Latin names as well.

Lc Mary Elizabeth Bohn 'Royal Flare' is a floppy grower and since its Epiweb pot was totally filled with roots, I popped the whole plant today as is into a new basket for more stability. The bloom count is getting better with each year. ( It was from a baby grab box in 2004. )

Oh WOW! I go away for a week and what do I find but masses of blooming orchids - at least on these pages. I did get a surprise with one of my 'on their own' vandas. Nice big flowers. The lense is a bit fogged up. One of the hazzards of the humidity.
