DogsNDaylilies said:@Jon - do you think you might be adding more cultivars to your mix as time goes on? Do you have a particular focus (or focii) at the moment for your crosses? I would have loved to have picked seeds from you, but unfortunately the cultivars weren't quite the types of crosses I'm focusing on here in my garden. I'm going to keep an eye out in the future on your seed page though, just in case something crops up along the lines of what I'm looking for. Big Grin

I don't plan to do patterns any time soon if that is what you are looking for, but I do add lots of cultivars every year, so my selection should grow a lot next year.

Awesome! I'll keep an eye out. (I'm not looking for patterns. I prefer solid, bold colors. I'm fairly particular about edges and, generally speaking, I'm not a fan of bold, rounded eye zones.)

Well, the selection made it down to me (#15) and somehow there was still a choice between two prizes! Not sure if someone declined their prize, or didn't respond in time, or offered to let someone else choose first, or what happened? Anyway, I was happy to have the opportunity to choose the hoyas! I had one hoya, given to me by my mother-in-law 20+ years ago when we got married, and it met its unfortunate demise during a move. I tried to root a cutting and salvage it, but it didn't make it. I just hope I can keep these lovelies alive! The common name porcelain flower is very appropriate; the blooms on the one I had were so shiny, they almost looked as if they were made of glass! Lovey dubby

One of the winners wanted everyone else to choose first, so she'll be the final one.

I chose a Crepe Myrtle. Now I just have to decide which of those reds is the reddest of them all.
I am delighted!

Angie - I was hoping that the hoyas would be left to be offered to you, after reading that they could be grown indoors. They would have done well here in humid FL, but the other choices might not have done well for you.

I hope everyone got prizes that they are very happy with! I know I will enjoy the Crape Myrtle tree and it will serve several purposes in my yard.

Thank You! My very sincere thanks to the winner who offered to choose last. @Dave, I respect that they may want to remain anonymous, but could you please express my appreciation to her? Thank You!

I was more than willing to pass the crepe myrtle along to someone in a more southern climate, if that was my prize, but I had NO idea how I was going to select a recipient! Hilarious! I'm glad hoyas do well as hanging plants, because my indoor plant jungle is outgrowing its space! Thumbs up Looking forward to adding three new beauties to my collection!

I am doubly blessed!
#1 - to be a member of this amazing ATP family/community. The BEST gardening site in the world which has the most amazing membership!!!
#2 - is directly related to #1. I wanted one of those Crepe Myrtles SOOOOOOOOOOOO much! I have wanted one for quite some time now. But my name was not drawn as a winner in this NARR. Just imagine my surprise when I got a Treemail from Dave telling me that one of the winners @bxncbx who is Elena said that none of the prizes really worked well for her situation, so she asked Dave if she could pass it along to me AND it was a crepe myrtle!!!!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
I am ecstatic to say the least. What thoughtful generosity! Thank you Elena, thank you! Lovey dubby You have made my day, my week, my entire month!
I have to honestly say this is even better than placing in the NARR. I am overcome.

So now you all know who was waiting until everyone made their choices. I outted you Elena. I hope you don't mind me telling everyone how wonderful you are.

I have chosen Best Red and will think of Elena every time I see it.
