a bit of trivia you might know : 'Green Valley' was the Daylily used as a model for AHS's medals and official logo years ago. It's a shame it is in such short supply. There is a garden in either north or South Dakota that has all of the Lenington winners. Mary Baker can probably put you in touch with the person in charge, and maybe they can tell you their source for this cultivar.

Julie, what a fount of knowledge. Dot, love your selection from Floyd Cove. And everyone else what great selections. I got a fair number of plants and seeds this year. I wanted some nice pinks, saturated reds and purples with and without a watermark, some that had strong eyes and edges, and patterned eyes. I am also tempted by creating the "white" daylily. I also got some of my old favorites, several Munsons and Salters. Still have a few I want, 'I Fancy', 'Sea Goddess' and 'Persian Market' come to mind. Plants are:

DND, those are ones I bought in the fall to add to what I already have. I'll be planting a few hundred seedlings as well this year so I'll have two things to watch: see how my new daylilies are adjusting to their new home, and watching how my seedlings are doing. I'm sure that you will post your seedlings when they bloom. I'm looking forward to seeing how they are turning out. I'll live vicariously through your babies (and all of your babies everyone!) until I get to see my own.

My husband is on my list and a friend who wants a few fans here and there is willing to work to get some.

Everything I can get my hands on... I have, roughly about a half acre back lawn and front yard curb appeal to address at my new blank slate.

I've already started by selecting a few clearance plants here and there and today I picked up some bag rhizomes in my local exchange. One of those happen to be 'Crimson Pirate'. This weekend, they will be potted up. Come on warm weather... more

Barb my suggestion for planting all those on your list is to call in the FL National Guard.
I will be working with mostly seeds this year along with doing some rearranging to the front bed to appease DW. She is not a daylily lover. I have to keep the peace. If I want to live here.

Well, my wishlist keeps growing larger instead of smaller. I think that is because my budget can't keep up. Anyhow, for now I have just placed an order for four daylilies, wanted six but two were already sold out. So that just means two more on the wish list will be going on a different order further down the road. There are several daylily farms locally that I want to check out soon, and see how many on my list I can find (within my budget).
