Bea! You really have the paradise on your yard. Beautiful landscaping and equally beautiful blooming trees and shrubs! It is probably a lot to keep up but worth it and it shows.

Gigi.. Thank You! so much for your kind compliments and acorn .So nice that the pics of my garden are appreciated by fellow gardeners. I tip my hat to you. including the Thumbs up .

Gigi to answer the flowering shrub trimming ? The trimming is a simple system . The shrubs are trimmed with a 4' trimmer blade, battery op, then I use the tractor which has mulching blades to mulch the clippings . The clippings fertilize the grass and pastures. No mess no fuss system so to speak. Rolling on the floor laughing

Like many fellow gardners it's the joy of sharing and the pay off is knowing all the efforts are well worth it thru the results we share with each other every day on this forum. 🐝

Bea; Here in the South we call those "Mimosa" Trees. They're very common but.. considered invasive.

I love that Mimosa, not sure if I've seen that around here.

Wow Bea! I am imagining how hard must it be to take care of 2 acres! But you make it sound so easy with the right tools and of course your cool tractor.

And real horses Lovey dubby

Mimosa trees are everywhere in Mississippi. They are extremely invasive though and the wood is brittle. I don't think that I've ever seen one here in Vero Beach, but surely, they are here in FL.

I have this plant which makes flowers that resemble butterflies. It's currently name is Rotheca myricoides 'Ugandense'.

Last couple weeks pruning…and not even done yet, and I ended up with these many cuttings. Will let them root and I like to underplant them in my plumeria or other pots. If I can grow enough bigger taller ones of these, I will make them then I would have some for hedge Whistling

Interesting thoughts, I agree. The morning glories do complement each other in color combinations when pots are strategically placed.

Typically, solar-powered lights are energized by batteries, and the batteries are charged during the day and then activate the lights at night.

@Kaktus. Backyard Solar lights have a sun ray catch plate that stores the sun's energy during the day. When at night with the switch on they light up from the solar energy stored during the day on each unique solar pad. Many types …even to light a walkway at night..
See pics of them during the day.
There are many different types. Pics hanging bees with solar

Just google outdoor solar lights so many types will pop 🆙 .
I like them as they add color and movement at night.
Even the solar Tiki lights I use along the driveway at night.
They are not pricy and easy care.
One by the pond..see the square solar pad? That pad stores solar energy which light up at night.
