Last night we got down to -26C (-15F), currently at 9 a.m. it has warmed up to -19C(-2F). At least the sun is shining. If the robins and red-wing blackbirds come back from the south any time soon I hope they bring their winter hats, boots, scarves etc.
We are on the warmer side of this cold snap, went down to 11f last night expecting a little colder tonight. North of me they are suppose to be in the minus numbers. I've be watching for red-wing blackbirds after hearing several reports they are on their way. None yet. The forecast for next week is looking nice, warmer near 60f mid week.
Gosh, so sorry for those of you getting snow. Now that it is March it feels like time for snow should be over and spring should be here already.
We had a nit picky amount of snow overnight. Nothing but a slight amount on the shady areas of lawn is left now. I am glad the storm mussed us. I am ready for spring and ready to get out in the garden. Not thinking about shoveling snow.
Down a few degrees today to 41F,..with rain of course however its about 12 inches of snow across the pond in England,..its surely boring when one is confined due to cold rain,..started moving furniture around to make more space,..the walls seemed to be closing in,..could be cabin fever
Not drowning or dried up and blown away, everything is frozen solid here. Actually it wasn't as bad as they said it would be, 11f again last night and up to the low 30's today. Still no red-wing blackbirds but I did see two Canada geese flying north early this morning...(they were wearing down parkas )
