My main interests are quilting & sewing. I enjoy fun chatting too, if a quilting thread gets off topic occasionally, that's OK with me. I enjoy block swaps, always will to help where ever I can. Very sad that our happy home at DG seems to be dissolving. We had some sewing & quilting threads on cubits but they have kind of melted away too.

Karen, the sites are still there. LK and Susan both have sewing/quilting/craft sites on Cubits.

I was here long before the DG mutiny, but still tend to not venture to the sandbox a lot, or else where as do others of my ilk. I feel we have alienated others here because of the Mid-Atlantic forum, we have tried to offer here, what was there. We are not anything exclusive or intend to be. We were just trying to lure others with a format created through the forums that would attract our fellows. For that I apologize. Everyone is welcome to come , visit, and participate in our threads. Many of them mirror your established system. Actually many of your forums and threads are basically the same, we are just not used to working the site. We (they) will learn and through unity in interest and goals become stronger and more understanding.
The above was also posted at Mutiny at DG, re-posted here for those that have moved forward.

I love quilting! Hi, @siliolegma! Maybe we can start a thread for others to join if we want to do a swap! I still want to do the butterfly block swap!

I'm loving it here! Thank you all for the warm welcome! Thank You! Hurray!

I'm a DG transplant, too. I signed up here before, but hadn't navigated thru all of it. I stuck with DG at the time mainly because some sweet person paid for my subscription after I allowed it to expire as I was tired of all the drama. But since I found so many friends on the quilt forums there, I just bookmarked it and used it as my Go To for the quilt/sew projects.
I recognize many here from DG, and there are probably some I haven't found yet, but already the atmosphere is so much more 'breathable', if that makes sense. I find myself not being able to ditch DG completely, as there are a few over there that want to stay, which is fine. I can jump back and forth to visit, although I would prefer to just stay on one side of the fence. We have lost some wonderful folks over the years, and to have to do this all over again is sad. Hopefully, in time we can find each other again and get back to the things we like to do best!

Yes, I had a quilting cubit, but its purpose was for a Round Robin in 2012, and those quilts were finished (had 2 groups of 6, and the quilts were finalized, with one person passing away, and 3 people unable to continue).
I am unable to do any quilting until I can set up my sewing table & machine again (living in a place where there's only 1/2 the space I used to have and no sewing room).
I may revisit a Round Robin again, but not at the moment.
I would welcome anyone else starting a quilt cubit and I would love to see other's quilting.

OH, I see that we have a Cubits "sisters of the heart - ongoing projects" cubits going. I shall visit there, and enjoy the quilt chatter nodding

I quilt, sew, crochet, not good at knitting but understand it :), embroidery, weight lift, cook and bake! Gardening is my last hobby I swear Rolling on the floor laughing but then there is canning, and jams etc. that I want to get into!! I saw the DG but didn't want to pay for it. I do get directed there when I type questions for Google.

Or start a thread of your own. I'm sure you will "meet" old friends here as well as some new ones.

I sew, quilt, knit, embroider, but do not crochet...... and right now, I am colouring Rolling on the floor laughing
My dear hubby got me two colouring books, pencil crayons, and felt markers for Christmas - Lost Oceans, and Peacock Designs. I'm really enjoying the relaxation and slipping back in time to when I had less stress in my life Whistling

My darling hubby set up a table so I can do sewing now - I so miss it (haven't sewn since April!! All this moving, and moving into smaller and smaller quarters.....) Sticking tongue out

I just started a Quilting thread for Karen while she is looking for a refuge from DG. Please jump in and encourage her to hang out here until she can find a quilting haven.

Can someone tell me how to accomplish 2 things on ATP?

1. How to contact Admin (Mr. or Mrs Whitinger?) to ask a question.
2. Did I understand correctly that there is an ATP Newsletter? How to get it?

Thanks - I have been searching, but apparently not correctly.

Thank you, Quietyard. I have sent them a message about my question.

Do you have to sign up for the newsletter or does it just appear periodically?

Truthfully I do not remember how the newsletter ended up being mailed to me. Hopefully someone with a better memory then I will let you know. Whistling
