How sad for you, Ken! I guess it's all up to you to keep the plumeria game strong in your area Hilarious! I am also lucky enough to have them everywhere. I pull off of roads and into neighborhoods to check out people's trees all the time. I bet people are thinking "this guy is casing our house for a robbery" as I'm just sitting outside of their yard staring for 10 minutes Rolling on the floor laughing

Yeah, that would be my luck, James. Someone would definitely call the cops and I would be embarrassed.

Nice, Mark! I have Gina, too. Though mine has more white on the borders. She is a miniature or a compact from Jungle Jack's.

Looking ahead at August temperatures, starting tomorrow, the plumerias go under the big crepe myrtle tree for some sun protection!
Some have suffered sun burn already.

We are supposed to get 98 F with a heat index of 110 the next two days and then cool down to 95-97 F for the follow 3-4 days. My plumeria will simply have to "suck-it-up". I have far too many to move them to any sort of shade. Sighing!

Same here, Ken! We are supposed to have a few days of that extreme heat, and I think I may be tucking mine up under a small tree I have in our yard so that they can still get spotted shade in the afternoon, but mainly only get morning and evening Sun for a few days. When I came home form work yesterday, my plumeria had their leaves dropped and limp for protection and from over-heating. I went out and cooled them off with a mist and a nice drink. I didn't get a chance to move them this morning, so I'll probably do so at lunch time this afternoon before it fully gets up to 97.

I just water mine every day, and a thorough watering it is. I try to spray them all down either in the early morning or in the late afternoon as well. So far, they are holding up to the heat and the sun. I do protect my freshly rooted and small seedlings though. I can put those smaller plants under the large ones and they get good shade that way.

It's 4pm. The plumeria stayed of the hottest sun in their new spot under the tree. But they will get some sun starting around this time of day. But it's 97° right now with a Heat Index of 101°. I gave them a good drink this morning and a misting. It's the best I could do. Shrug!

They won't need the volume of water with the shade that you provided them. We were 98 F (still are) with an index of 110 F. So far (I think) all my plants are OK.

Those two multi tips one will make a good instant tree, of course, after it is done blooming.

I know! I know! The day I will have to cut them down is coming. And I will do the least amount of cuts so I'll be rooting trees it is as mentioned in the Sticky about "How Big of a Cutting Can You Take" and suggested by @Gigiplumeria. Once they stop blooming, if you all think it's not too late by the end of August, I will do the dirty deed. The NOID White is not a profuse bloomer. It blooms for a month or two. Unlike my NOID Orange that has been blooming nicely since May.

In the mean time, I have searched and found that using cinder blocks on 4 corners, that is if round pots have corners, helps keep them stable in any wind. I can place the younger plumeria on top of the cinder blocks. Did you know one cinder block weighs about 30 lbs! They will be easy to store in the winter, just being stacked on the side of the house. As luck would have it last week a good friend asked me if I had any use for his extra 14 cinder blocks. Yep! I do! Thumbs up I will pick them up tomorrow.

Oh boy, free stuff! Nothing beats "free". You really need to visit a casino or buy a lottery card (are they called "cards"?). You are on a roll. Thumbs up

As I have said before, the later it gets, the more difficult it will be for plumeria to root. I have given statistics, so you know my success rate here in MS. That doesn't mean you should not take cuttings. Just understand that they may not root, so you'll simply be storing those cuttings over the fall and winter months. I do that with dozens of cuttings. Its no big deal.

I never take any chances, but that's just me. I always take cuttings and start rooting in early to mid Spring--which for a lot of others on here is the equivalent of late Spring or even early Summer.

I've luckily never had a plumeria cutting fail to root. Though, in all honesty, in this zone it's kind of just a "set it and forget it" type of thing that time of year.

Love the plumeria @Corpus Botanical Gardens. Actually, it was there that I fell in love with adenium. I feel sorry for their parrots though. We plan to go again in Sept. if it's not to hot.
