I planted Celadine (left) and Scott Pratt same day in late May. Any ideas why SP isn't thriving?

It's a much less vigorous cultivar, but please verify that you actually have roots.

It's a very stubborn rooter. At this late time in the season I would recommend grafting.

Maybe I should trim the bottom and let it callus over, then repot it. What do you think?

We are heading towards dormancy at this time of year, and especially in your area I would doubt you would be successful in rooting it. Florida Colors nursery offers a grafting service.

Lisa, if you don't want to graft it (and I don't know that grafting is any easier than rooting it this time of year), per Hetty's advice about shipping it to Florida Colors, why not bag it, using a small zip-lock and moist, long-fibered sphagnum moss? I seem to have better and faster success bagging than the way I rooted my plants for years, in 100% coarse perlite.

I am sending you a T-Mail @5601Lisa.

I brought in a handful of plumeria flowers a little while ago. There are more in bloom, but this was all that I could hold in one hand. These flowers represent five different varieties. The kitchen has a nice fragrance now. Hurray!

Beautiful! Jealous of your kitchen fragrance right now! Excuse my colorblindness, but what is that purple-ish/black?

It is not your eyes, James. My super-duper camera simply won't pick up some of the shades that my orchids and plumeria flowers present, particularly some deep crimson/red. I guess its not so super, huh?

My NOID that I frequently call 'Princess Pink' has been holding on to an inflo for a few weeks for "no reason". I checked it today. Are these seed pods developing?! I've never had pods before!!!

Yay! Ken, your pod blessings wore off on me. Also, your DD's might actually be the pollen parent. It was the only plumeria within at least 6 block radius that was blooming at the same time. Guess one never knows though Shrug!

Those are seed-pods, James. And you did not have to wait 25 years. How great is that. Hurray!
