Trailing Lavender Lantana. Ann, do you know what this flutterby is?

Pope John Paul II // Lantana. Early in the year is mostly yellow and orange. Late year blooms tend more toward all red. Nifty, like having two different plants on one.

Sorry, a little behind & late. I agree with Margaret.... a Clouded Sulphur.
I really like those Gomphrenas (sp?). Cute little things aren't they? Pops a lot of color!

Betty, in normal years, there isn't much going on in December and January. However, we didn't have any winter weather last year, so I have had blooms of some kind continuously for the last 18 months. This Fall has been running 10-20 degrees above normal, which is helping keep the flowers going. Broke the record high temperature yesterday. Shrug!
Waiting game to see if we get any cold this coming Winter. Smiling

Flowers for 18 months straight, outstanding!

I love mild winters like our last one, hope this winter is also mild. Although the weather forecast is for snow including some areas with blizzard conditions in our state in the next day or two which hopefully will only be rainy with light snow in our area.

I like the cold winters. Makes up for the atrocious summers. What I would dearly love now though is some rain. We are dry, dry, dry & have been so since Hurricane Matthew which only brought my area a scant 3/4" and we were dry before that came. La Nina. Rolling my eyes.

La Nina won't be helping us any. Predictions of no rain until near Christmas. Finally supposed to freeze this weekend so I need to dig up my Siam Ruby banana. I said I wasn't going to have anymore inside plants but I'm lying again. I need to take the last photos of my castor bean plants before the cold gets them.

Not yet, Ginny. Probably going to have another procedure after my post surgery checkup in mid-December. Anesthesia again, but really the surgery itself is minor stuff to take care of (unless it goes away on its own--unlikely, but possible).
THEN, I should be all clear. Big Grin Big Grin

Hope all goes well - cold and windy out today so I don't mind being inside. Yesterday I had an appointment in Des Moines (1 hr away) and went to lunch with my daughter. 75 when I drove home about 1:00 p.m. then, unfortunately, I had to come to work Crying Would have been a great day to be outside! My iris was still blooming this morning - darn thing! I really need to split a bunch of iris out in the Spring that are totally overgrown, so if you would like tree mail me and I'll let you know what's there.

Frustrating to have to pass up good gardening time. Sad

I saw the photograph on the other thread--pretty Iris. Thank you for the offer, I will let you know. Smiling

Cold front came through today. Overnight low is supposed to be around 38. Cold for us, anyway. Guess we can't avoid it forever. Shrug!

Surprise this morning! Royal Maroon MDB. Just received it this summer and it is blooming already.
Gotta love those Donald Spoon Irises. Lovey dubby
