How are you getting good pics of the red and pink? Mine are coming out over saturated, which is a problem with red hues.

Do you have a name for your yellow? The blooms on mine are getting more intense color as more of them open.

I need to get pics of the rest of mine tomorrow and finish labelling them for colors.

I'm kinda embarrassed to admit but that's my cell phone pics. Point in case - that 'red' is a dark pink LOL. The other two colors look 'true' to my eyes. I don't have names...the yellow came from Food Lion (I saw that bloom and Drooling ) - the dark pink was given to me by a patient over 10 years ago - the light pink/white one came from a co-worker's mom who insisted it was being neglected in the office she saw it in (yet she gave it to me?!? Blinking ) I would love an orange one. Searched Etsy and struck gold (but will wait to order as I spent a 'bit' on Brug cuttings over the last month) https://www.etsy.com/shop/Scre...

Definitely hold off on buying any more CC. I may have found and actual grower that sells named varieties.

For the record, any time I see 'rare' in the title or description, I immediately skip it. Coming from the antiques and collectibles world, people like to throw 'rare' in there in the hope of getting a higher price. I will say, though, that her prices look pretty good.

I'm thinking that we can put together a group order in time for the '2017 Seed Swap'. Has a date been set for it yet?

Uh-oh ! I was just at HD, and noticed two hanging baskets of what appear to be yellow CCs at $17/each. (Unidentified, of course) But, I was a good boy and left them there.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Rick--and anyone else----
When the CC's blooms end--they seem to not have any more sale's value.

At the HD--they do not clearance them at all. Out of bloom--Junky looking--down the chute--
OR--maybe the vendors come and take them back to sell next year. !!! Moore logical...

At Lowes--they jam all the remaining CC's on shelvs on a cart and discount them.
That is when I go to Lowes and see if I can pick up some dropped off fronds and just take them.
Of course--I would have to remember what color they were??? That is how I got one of my
favorites. The one I just called these--"Pretty pink"
Even if i do not--the broken off fronds are always healthy and fat. I do not feel guilty at all
taking some of them. Their only other option is the trash dumpster....

Me too!!

My friend on work corrected me saying the one I refereed to as dark pink is more of a deeper salmon color. When I placed white paper beneath the bloom? What do you know...she's right...LOL BTW, I agree re the 'rare' thing with the plants. There's a Canadian seller posting that type of description on Brugs that are anything but rare Grumbling Personally I don't care if they're named or not...long as the color advertised is the color I end up with. And I agree, Gita....Lowes is my 'go to' for clearanced plants...I wish HD and Walmart would get the memo.m Rolling my eyes.

Walmart does reduce theirs, sometimes even before they're dead. Hilarious!

We were in HD the other day, and there was a try of cyclamen in the trash bin. I tried to get them, but the manager said no. The grower put them there and expects them to be there 'tomorrow'. All they needed was water! The HD plant guy told me that HD budgets for $2.2 MILLION a year for dead plants. Now, you would think that some bean counter somewhere would wake up and let the stores reduce them. Buttheads! Grumbling

Gita, will be happy to bring you a bag of rice hulls. Not a shopping bag full, more like newspaper bag full.
Quaint phrase, no?
