Tarev, you S. dasyphyllum is looking beautiful.
Sure wish I could grow Sedum rubrotinctum that would look like yours does. That is awesome.

Thanks Lynn! I feel glad when I find something that actually survives our heat here. Btw, the semp that is with Sedum. dasyphyllum, they were among the few semps that survived the batch you gave me before! Big Grin

Lynn you can grow the sedum rubro outdoors, it would require you to keep it dry in winter, but mine went through winter in 2014 (this year for some reason I brought it inside, but really it does better outside, as long as it is dry) you could do plant it in one of your cement holes and cover with a large glass jar, or plastic - They get so full looking like Tarev's when they are outside year round! Hurray!

I am going to get me another one and give it a try again. Thank you Tarev & Greg.

Tarev I am so glad to hear that at least some have survived for you. Your climate would really weed out the ones that can't handle that California summer heat. I see there is also a little arachnoideum that has survived. Hurray!

Lovely photos Lynn! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

So that's how S. dasyphyllum 'Major' looks like! Looks like a younger sibling of S. morganianum huh? Just a little less elongated. I often wondered how major would look like if mine is a minor Big Grin

Oh I love those cement blocks! Hmmm...I have some here..maybe I can move some there as well!

I can send you some 'Major' tarev. It is very easy to grow. It does love some protection from afternoon sun here in the PNW. I think you would love this one. And it would love your cement blocks. Big Grin

Oh really! That would be fun to try! Hmmm..I got S. rubrotinctums here if you want to try it again Big Grin

I have this other succulent I would also need to trim, want to try this? It is more of a sprawling, bushy type, but I grow it in containers, that's all I do here, container growing.

Oscularia caulescens - close-up of the blooms is the one currently in my avatar, in my area, this blooms during late winter to early Spring, seems to like the chilly and sunny area, not really sure about the rain, since we are drier than your area. But it did like our recent rains, the rest of the year, it just stays green here, very drought tolerant. Maybe the blooming period will be longer on your side, the blooming ends here once our temps start to soar.

Great pics here. Gets me longing for spring and beyond. Although we've had some mild days, there is still talk of some snow to come. My sedum and related friends are just beginning to awaken from the long winter's nap.

Soon... soon. Still early in this zone...although there are signs of promise, and some, well, they just show off all the time.

Lynn I love dasyphyllum but I can never keep it alive. I had one in a pot that lived 4 yrs then it did not come back. It has never came back in the ground.

Mark sent me this clump 3 yrs ago and last summer it did not come back last summer. It expanded and it is such a pretty blue color all summer.

That is a beautiful color Cinta. I wonder why it dies? It should be hardy in your area.
