Ric is doing all the work, mostly with the snow blower but some shoveling has been required. I on the other hand just hang out and play with my ornaments and watch the birds come in to the feeders.

I love the soup 'base' to make sure it tastes good no matter what. Yeah, it's one thing to buy some food, but another to think of all the other ingredients.
Leftover pork will go in fried rice another night, I have carrots, frozen peas, onions, and baby corn.
Library closed Tuesday also, just heard. There's practically nothing we can do outside the building and no way to compensate us if we did.

Bueno, ssg!!
Plant it and they will come.

Sally, a great app for keeping up with French language skills is on TV 5 Monde, "Sept Jours Sur La Planete." News items with text. One version, called "Lite," is free. Another version is downloadable (is that a word?) costs $4.99/yr.

Here, DD felt inspired and made herself some crepes for dinner! Thumbs up First time ever that she has done that--just said 'I think I'll make myself x for dinner' and then gone ahead and did it! Proud mama. Lovey dubby

Good job, "little Catmint!"
I got some prefilled frozen ones recently and they were a hit. But they aren't too difficult to make. Good for her going for it!

My soup was really good! Gita got me a bag of chicken bones from a market near her, and I used the slow cooker to make the broth overnight. All I added was garlic, tumeric, minced onion, carrots, salt and pepper.
Plant it and they will come.

Yumm, sounds like a good broth, Sally.

LOL on the 'little catmint'--that's cute! Thumbs up For her own (age-appropriate) online activities she usually chooses either some variation of Chickie (her favorite stuffed animal) or some variation of PenguinLover (Chickie is a penguin). Smiling
She had fun making the crepes--and they were yummy. Hopefully she'll be inspired to cook more often! Whistling

OK, novelty of the snow is wearing off. I'd rather be gardening. Or lounging poolside.

haha Lisa!

I will be venturing out today. It feels pretty nice out at the moment! If I see any bagged salt I will get one. We've so far survived on leftover water softener salt that we saved after redoing the water system. It's about gone.
I'm now concerned about whether the drainage from the roof will keep making it away from the house.

And checking messages about my work. The building is clear but the heat is almost non functional. Building is 50-60 degrees. So they may stay closed and we'll have to choose to work at another branch or take leave. Neither choice is 'good' for me. Thumbs down
Plant it and they will come.

Hi Ddmom! Welcome! Sounds like you made out all right with the storm. I threw some seeds down last week to hopefully make good use of the snow.
Plant it and they will come.

And cleaned the stove today and underneath it. I'd feel guilty if I didn't do a little housecleaning in four days inside.
Plant it and they will come.

Welcome! Ddmom, welcome to ATP. Sounds like you did pretty good during the blizzard. We are a picture-hungry group so don't forget to take photos as your plants grow. Lots of folks are still learning how to winter sow. Thumbs up

Crofton, a fairly large branch. How did people get there and return all those books? There was a MOUNTAIN of returned books to process. Then a glacier of pages of books to be pulled and held or sent to other branches as requests. A steady trickle of people coming in or calling. And I had one kid who stuck to me for a good 45 minutes asking for a variety of books, videos and music. He was quite smart grasping how things worked and I hope for their sake he soon starts making all his OWN requests online LOL. The day went fast.
Tomorrow I go in at noon and see if they got any kind of heat going!
Plant it and they will come.

Sounds like a good day, Sally! Thumbs up Hope your building is heated up soon!!

Here I finally ventured out. Traffic was horrible in places, fine in others. And of course we are moving to our 'new space' in the building (which has been renovated around us for the past couple years) on Friday, with check out tomorrow at noon, which means we had this afternoon and tomorrow morning to pack! Big Grin
