I just want to tell you all how beautiful all your photos are! I see such beautiful orchids only at the Botanical Gardens! Yours rival those, and even surpass them.

Which reminds me, I went to the BG recently and took some pics. I will add them one day to that Buffalo BG thread, Boojum.

Thanks Kathy and Nancy! Smiling
I love the Accordion!! My Brother in law used to play one like yours, fun. And - it brings me back to my childhood, I played a simple instrument for many years, 32 basses, if I remember correctly.

Hi NAP!!!!!
Yes, looking forward to your great BG pics! Wish I could have gone with you! Love that place! I was at the Smith GH recently and very little was in bloom. I'll have to check in winter again.

Kathy, can you put your backpack fertilizer sprayer on your back and the accordion on the front and
dance around while you listen to your reports? Think how much you could get done in a day Hilarious!

Jim,
I think what you have is called a 'sauna'
maybe you just need to sit down on a slatted wooden bench with a towel for a bit
see if it feels good?!

Lindsey, I LOVE the visual re Kathy!! Rolling on the floor laughing

and as an aside - I just hacked my monster Stanhopea wardii apart. I had noticed this Summer a couple of spikes not making it, the clump was so dense that the spikes couldn't push their way through it. I misused my serrated bread-knife for the job, I got through it after some considerable sawing. Hopefully some major pieces will survive the job.

Bree that is YUMMY looking! I wish I could grow Dens.... Confused
Pot. Little Toshie ' H & R' AM/AOS opened its bud yesterday, this is a first bloom on this plant,
and is adorable, even though someone munched on it while it was developing.

Beautiful show, Ursula! I used a bread knife for the 3 divisions of Gerberara too. Hilarious!

Bree, Love that Den! Andy tried to sell me one today, but I passed on it.

Lindsey, great color on your Pot. "little toshie" !

I didn't plan to buy anything today, but the four that followed me home are on the "I just bought" thread.

Thanks Ursula. No fragrance so far on cootesii. Also maybe some belong in miniatures....

I don't think cootesii is scented at all. At least I have never detected any scent on mine. I don't mind, its pretty spikes make up for it.

Question:
I am wondering about the miniature Orchid thread. It seems this thread has usually only two posters, Kathy and myself with some rare exceptions. I don't mind posting into that thread given the understanding that the contents are just as much enjoyed as those in the monthly threads. But, if nobody looks - I would simply add the miniatures to the monthly thread?
Kathy? Everyone here? What do you think?

I think that we need to hear if anyone else HAS miniatures. If not, I think we should consolidate.

I usually don't go there, because of laziness...I wouldn't mind seeing them with the other blooming now though.
