Jill, my bad. I entered an item and the fields changed when I clicked on the check mark at the left and the item posted to the "Full Tradelist" page. I was comparing the form as one sees their own list to the full, public list that had your entry.

Jill, like you I entered only one item as a test, so now there are two entries for others to peruse. Is there some way to insert a photo from the plant database into the "Image" column?

Greenthumb, the only way I've figured out to add a photo from the plant database is to save it to my computer first. It's a little cumbersome, but it doesn't take that long because clicking on the link that appears after you enter your plant will take you right to the plant database.

We'll be distributing group buy lilies and caladiums at the swap, too... although I might try to find an earlier pickup date for caladiums for those who are close by, then find room to start the remainder... For any who are interested and haven't found their way to the threads yet, check out the classifieds & group buy forum: http://garden.org/forums/view/...

Sure is! Lisa, please go to the caladium thread and let me know just what you'd like... I know you said I could create an assortment for you, but Bill said we could mix & match varieties for quantity discounts, so if you go to the page with the Colossal bulbs and pick out 7, I'll put you down for a 'Gingerland' in addition, and you'll be about on target ($3 per bulb plus shipping). We've got warm weather all next week for shipping.

If anybody else would like to join our CALADIUM group buy, please go here: They are pricing out at about $3 per bulb for Colossal size, and if we guess shipping at 20% (conservative even for these big bulbs, I hope), that's $3.60 per bulb. No minimum; if you want just 1 or 2 bulbs, that's fine.

Buck Rogers is speaking to me. First time trying caladiums. Truly, any combo works for me. Containers on deck face east. Like splash of color in center of leaf. Range of $25, it's all good.

East facing is great for caladiums... Bill says they pretty much all like some morning sun if they can get it; it's the afternoon sun that's hard on them (even true for "sun-tolerant" varieties). Go to the thread, please, and let me know what other ones are speaking to you. I'm getting 1 of this and 1 of that, doing more mixing than matching. I'm getting Grey Ghost, Carolyn Whatron, and Red Flash for my MIL -- similar patterns (to my eye) in different colors for her more formal setting.

Critter and Catmint, our lilies from Touch of Nature arrived. I should pot them up, right?

If you would do so, I'd appreciate it! No need for perfect potting, just cram them in... as long as the tops are facing up and the roots have a tad of space, they'll be fine... we'll spread them out in their planting hole(s). If they're not sprouting yet, you could also store them cool (not in the fridge with vegs or fruit, room temp is OK) until next week if you're planning to swing up this way to get your caladiums.

Thanks, Lisa!!

Jeff & Darcy, you know I'm all excited about your "big event"... I'm in the midst of trying to get more organized as we get some work done inside (painting, carpet), and I keep coming across stuff that I kept for a while "in case" -- I've got a box going for you, things you can donate if you don't want them. LOL... you'll have a better idea that week of how things are progressing and how Darcy is feeling. But it's a good guess the timing won't be good for the swap. We'll figure out a way to get some things to you, if there's anything you can't resist. Smiling
