Thanks for keeping us updated on Donner, Critter! Healing thoughts for her surgery...

SSG, I also have quite a lot of crocosmia, if you'd like some of mine as well! If so, I'll put it on the swap list.

Thanks for the update on Donner; I'm glad to hear she's in good spirits.

I have sedum to share, but don't ask me the names of any of them! I might recognize a few when they start to bloom. My daughter took a few springs from this flat and gave me the rest to use and share.

@NisiNJ do you have any cherry tomato seedlings? If so what kind might you have ? What kind of plants might you and your friend be interested in in general?

@RickM , not sure my Sagae Hosta is dividable yet, but I will have a good look see this week. What is the plant in your profile picture? Are you mostly a shade gardener?

Oh Muddy, wouldn't it be fun to make some of those vertical wall planters with all those sedums! Is that flat the same one Home Depot sells?

Muddy, I'd like some of that sedum mix! They might do well in my container.

I potted tomato seedlings this evening... between me & Nisi, we should have a good selection! Mariposa, I have a couple extra "Wild Cherry' seedlings (tiny currant variety)that I'll be adding to my list, might still seed a few more cherry types... do you have requests? I can see if I have a particular variety or something similar in my stash.

Nisi, did you start any Mr Stripey or Yellow Brandywine tomatoes this year? If not, I'll sow some... I missed them during the first round!

A little bit early for me to tell what I'll have for digging, dividing, and sharing. I'll start listing things on the seed swap tool when I discover them as the garden is waking up, so keep watching for updates up to a few days before the get together. I'll also keep mentioning what I have on this thread.

As always, I have offshoots of my Lilac 'Palibin'. This is a small leafed Korean dwarf lilac that actually blooms reliably every year in our zone and smells heavenly. By dwarf, I mean dwarf in comparison to most lilacs. It still gets about 4 feet tall and wide (vs 8-10 feet), but other than the width spreading by offshoots that I don't pull, it has remained that height for many years. This has got to be one of my all time favorite shrubs.

I also have some tall bearded Iris 'Mary Frances' that has finally spread enough to share. This is a light purple. I got it in memory of my grandmother Mary Frances, so it has sentimental meaning for me.

For a crazy spreader, I can offer up Silene armeria (I think Robin is also offering this). This one does spread prolifically, but is a really charming plant if you have an area that you want to fill. It is fairly easy to pull, but be forewarned Smiling
Thumb of 2016-04-04/aspenhill/69dc60

Other crazy spreaders are the campanula. I have 'Elizabeth' that David and Pat have shared with many of us, and for the first time I have another campanula in a deeper shade of pink/mauve called 'Ringsabell Mulberry Rose'. Again, really charming plants but they do spread prolifically - I think they do all right in containers though if you want to keep them in bounds.

I also have a noid big root geranium. These grow into big clumps, easy to divide, but are not self spreaders like the silene and campanula.

I can dig up a few daffodils if there is interest. I have 'Yellow Cheerfulness', 'Thalia, 'Lemon Drops'.

Aspen, when does the lilac bloom? I'm interested but I want to make sure it doesn't overlap with the Korean spice viburnum's bloom time.

My spice viburnum (viburnum carlesii) is blooming right now if that is the same one you are talking about. The lilac bloom will be a few weeks later. They don't seem to overlap bloom times in my garden.

Robin, no idea on the non blooming campanula. Mine have bloomed away ever since the first season I put them in the ground. The deer to like them though and eat the flowers if I don't keep them sprayed with the repellant. I didn't think you had a deer problem at your place, but maybe? That is the only thing I can think of. Maybe @greenthumb99 has some ideas.

SSG, I think you will like the lilac. It definitely is one of my favorites.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
I was watering all the tables out front (HD) yesterday--YES! in the blizzardly cold winds....
and noticed the half table-full of Silene. Thought--"What a pretty flower!"

Sally--do the B&B Salvia actually grow from those bulbous roots??
Remember, 2 springs ago, I was digging up a section of my YUK bed and kept digging up
these weird, hard, round roots. I had NO idea what they were....Thought it may be some disease....

Now I realize they must have been roots from the B&B Salvia that was growing there 3 years ago.
Never saw anything sprout from them...????
Looked for the pictures of these--but could not remember when I dug them up. Me thinks it was in 2014?
I planted 2 B&B Salvias in that spot (again) last fall. So--it was before that...

Oh, well....I will see if they make it....Gita

OMG Terri I think I'm going to be trying to dib everything you mentioned! I think I got a little lilac from you last year, but it's not leafing out yet... seems bendy though so crossing fingers!

Good idea to mention things here as you add them... I know I'll be adding more also. By the time out lists are expanded we'll all have plenty of dibs/tickets to use. We'll see if that's a good way to do it or if it would be better to have a shorter time between starting the trading and the swap date... we learn as we go!

I do love the automatic record keeping with the tool... so much simpler than editing my haves post for each request... in the past, I've tried to catch up an do a bunch of edits at once, but then I worry I'll miss something. Entering plants is easy with the auto-fill feature, too... I can even half-remember a name, and it'll find it for me as I'm typing!

Terri, can I get maybe 2 of the Mary Frances iris? It is my former sister in laws name (if I give them to her maybe I can get some fresh eggs when her chicks grow up and start laying).

Sure Robin - put dibs on them in the swap tool when you can, and if for some reason there are more dibs than what I currently offered up I can up the offering number to accommodate more. I'll also make note of it on the Have/Wants thread.

@Critterologist, Two seedlings of the currant cherry tomato would be great! I love the Sun Sugar and Sun Gold, and last year I had a purple one and an orange one (Jelly Bean series???) Year before I grew 'Ghost' almost white so, I'm pretty flexible on the rainbow!

@Aspenhill I claimed you NOID Hardy Geranium but if someone else is interested and the clump dividable I'm happy to share.
You called dibs on an ostrich fern...would you take more than one ? More little ones keep popping up , otherwise I'll just pot them up.

MariposaMaid - I have plenty of the NOID hardy geranium for anyone who is interested, and yes I love ostrich fern and would take whatever you feel like bringing that no one else wants to claim. Thanks!
