Brag all you want. It's a beautiful daylily and very worth bragging on!!!! I guess red is my all time favorite color for daylilies. I also guess deep purple is my next favorite but then white is beautiful too. My favorite this year is by far orange, orange with great big red eyes and edges.

Blessings Mona

Now, I need to add yellow to this above list, too. It can be the prettiest in the garden when you look out over hundreds and the yellow ones stand out above all the rest.

These reds are all beautiful. I don't know why I have so few of them. After looking at
these photos, I think I need to make a list. Big Grin

Mona, my born to run is a runt of a thing, although it did bloom enough to see that I
actually had the correct flower. Not it's best though.

Well, I was looking for information about 'Fire on the Mountain' (Carpenter 2004), I won one on LA and I am excited about it and thinking about buying a second one. (the one I bought was a sf) Then I noticed the bud count, 57 seems a lot for 4 branches? Does anyone have this daylily? Any problems with it, I have a mental image of the thing falling over! Rolling on the floor laughing
BTY, great thread!! You sure are a bunch of enablers. Green Grin!

I'm not familiar with FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN, but if you get a second SF you can plant them pretty close together for a great clump effect.

And since I saw this thread back again I decided to post a picture of my new favorite red HOME OF THE FREE.

Yes! Betty, that was the plan! This is a very nice daylily, just seems like a high bud count for four branches. I am not complaining though, I'm willing to give it a try. Green Grin!

It does pretty well here, but bud count is no where close to 54. May have a higher bud count in Virginia though. Kansas is pretty tough and I have a fair amount of shade in my garden as well.
