I didn't think I would have too many reds to choose from, but now it is a tough decision. I left off August Flame only because I could choose only five. It almost made my list, but here are my 5:
Heavenly United We Stand - I divided this one last year. Am hoping it does good again this year.
Bobbing for Poodles
Seattle Dreaming - David Kirchhoff knows his reds! I love the bloom on this tall scape:)
Mister Lucky
NOID- very large bloom on a sturdy scape and it is a late July bloomer.

I have a friend who has My Heart Belongs to Daddy and she really likes it. It's a pretty thing!
Mystic Pizza is a cross between Red Suspenders and Ruby Spider. I can definitely see both parents in Mystic Pizza.
I think I would have to grow them side by side to really tell the difference between Mystic Pizza and Red Suspenders, but since I don't grow those two, maybe if I had them it would be that difficult. Makes me wonder if one performs better than the other.

Vickie, Mystic Pizza is outstanding in the garden!! Extended bloomer and increases wonderfully! I just love MHBTD bc the white edges on the petals and sepals make it look as if it were glowing with a halo..... which is especially stunning in a clump. Perfect symbol of a daughter's love for her father! When our daughters settle in to their homes, I'll be planting this daylily in their gardens.
Wow, you all sure have some gorgeous and prolific red bloomers! I just love all these clump shots of them. My Heart Belongs to Daddy is so lovely with that faint edging. Heavenly United We Stand is so grand and imposing with its height and large flowers. Sky King looks wonderful with the white daisies. Beautiful, everyone!
