Here are my five top reds:

Caboose---dormant, hardy, lots of flowers, super color!


Christmas Greetings--slow to increase, but well worth the wait. Spectacular full form, substance, and color saturation!


Garnet Slippers--Dormant, great grower/increaser, not the best form, but no better color saturation to be found in any other cv..


Life On Mars--Dormant, great increaser, vigorous, great color saturation, medium size, but a TON of flowers, makes a spectacular clump in flower.


Paint The Town Red--slow increse, but well worth the wait, best color, very good form, great breeder.


Power Of Love--Hardy Dormant with great scapes, color, and vigor---makes huge clumps.


Red Loveliness--Big flowers, dormant, really nice ruffling and full form, best breeder for reds.


Man Of Sorrows--Great scapes, full form, good grower, super color and flower presentation.


I know you wanted only five. I could not do that and do justice. I've got a LOT of Reds---my favorite color.

Beautiful reds Debra! I don't think I've ever seen a bad image of the Ultimate Sacrifice, it must be stunning in person. I'm a big fan of white edges, Fighting Fire is gorgeous.
Caboose looks like a vibrant clear red, very nice. The white midribs on Dixie Land Band make it stand out from the rest of the reds.
There are so many shades of red it makes it hard to pick... Here are a few of my favorites...

Carnal Emporium, a rose red


Crimson Enigma, a tall red cristate form.


Love in a Vacuum, red with a touch of raspberry


Mystic Pizza, a red UF


Witch Hollow, velvety red

Wow, just gorgeous everyone! There are too many favorites to list. I am really in the mood for red this year and your reds are outstanding in color and form. The only thing I'd like to ask is which ones in your above reds have the best sunfast substance?

Karen, all my posted reds are reasonably sunfast even under a Texas sun, but Bill Fall is probably the best one of that bunch.

All the reds are outstanding! I need to have a pep talk with my Big Red Wagon. If only mine would produce beautiful blooms as yours.

I haven't gone through all the reds yet on this thread, but I really like that velvety texture on Char's 'Witch Hollow'! Will have to catch up on the others later.

One of my favorite reds is Ruby Spider and I will have to post a picture later, but another favorite red is a huge NOID that I have. It is a favorite because it blooms so late in the season.
