those meetings ... yuck!

I found out tonight that I enjoyed quesadillas with just cheese and mild jalepenos and the taco-bell like sauce.

I just picked up some cradled pepper Triscuits at the store today. Triscuits are great when you're feeling snack-y...they give the crunchy, salty flavor without being as bad as potato chips or as involved as popcorn.

Dinner for me tonight was unusual ..

*Store-bought sushi (yum yum rolls)
*Salad
*Oriental soup (onion flavor and something else with rice noodles)
*Pre-made Apple brioche bread pudding

I made a casserole with turkey, bow tie pasta, broccoli and cheese. I was pretty good but I just can't do turkey. Will try it again with chicken.

Just set up the crockpot and it will cook all night. Chuck steak pot roast style. I love it done this way.

Rita, I like it that way as well. Reminds me, I should get a piece out of the freezer. I purchase larger portions and cut them up and freeze them.

Truthfully I love the taste of Chuck. I like the fat in the meat. But you can't just throw chuck steak on the grill, it is too tough to eat that way. So I put mine in the crockpot and it turns out so tender when done. I guess pressure cooking woulds work well also but I don't have one so just stick to my crockpot.

Tonight was cheese fondue with bread and carrots and a side salad. It's rare we have all-vegetarian fare.

Did you make the bread?

When I make bread, its always in the breadmaker, but I might try some recipes in the future that are just good ol' fashioned, made on the counter (and in the oven) types of bread. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on the finer types of bread...

Yes, I just bake the bread in the oven. I don't have or want a breadmaker. I love bread! If I had the convenience of a breadmaker I'd probably eat a loaf a day and be the size of a house.

Haven't been on here for a while. Poor Man's Lobster is just boiled fish dipped in butter. I used cod, but Haddock is good this way too.

I don't care for fish that smells "fishy." Haddock is one that doesn't smell. I like it tempura batter-dipped and fried. Then dipped in vinegar sauce when eaten. As a side, I like to tempura batter-dip and fry fresh vegi's like carrots, sweet potato, broccoli, eggplant, onion slices, and some others. (Not all the different vegi's at once, of course.)
