On the DIL issue, I am blessed and thankful for two good ones

Thankful for a nice day yesterday spent with my Brother from out of state...we looked over some family history on my dad's side and it was fun trying to piece things together.

Actually I have three good daughters in law, but this one is special. I, too, had a good relationship with my mother in law, plus DH's grandmother, who looked at me with her beautiful eyes and told me, "I've loved you since the first time I saw you." This was especially good to hear since I married her favorite grandson.

If you're female, how is "throwing like a girl" a bad thing? You're throwing the way you throw..... if it's hard, or a soft throw, you're a girl so you throw like yourself (a girl)

We are making progress on clearing the back bedroom to do a proper cement floor. I'm learning the be more Mexican. Poco poco. Bit by bit. Anita and Tony will both be here tomorrow so we should be able to get a lot done. I'm hoping to be ready for the concrete by Friday but will not hold my breath.

Let's just say I do NOT have a good arm when it comes to throwing, and they seem to think I'm wimpy. I told them if they could catch my daughter's underhand softball fast pitch they could take the "throw like a girl" comment right back!!!!! So technically, I throw like a wimp and I'm thankful I don't throw my shoulder out that way

Tomorrow I'm going for 3 fillings in Edmonton (2 1/2 hr drive) and I'm getting a ride with Senior's Outreach - they'll expect payment for the gas, when we get our funds from the gov't for the underpayments I've been getting. This should be late Feb/early March. They'll charge $45 for gas only - not bad!!! I'm thankful for the dentist, and the ride!!

Actually my daughter and granddaughter and I are going to Kentucky to my other daughter's for Christmas and my grandsons birthday. DHS daughter will help while I'm gone. He agreed I could go 4 days
