I was JUST thinking the same thing Sophia wants pottery lessons as her gift and I want to get her a lightweight puff jacket... she is VERY hot all the time...she will go out in an ice storm with hat, gloves, and a tee shirt! The puff jackets weighs a few ounces and that may fool her into wearing. Plus I got her black..and her mama won't get her black 😏 because she wants to keep her a baby forever! She will feel grown up! Bad MIL!

Bella wants a Barbie camper real bad ( overpriced and overrated ) plus we got three more grands and the birth ( as in I DID it ) kids too. But that won't be much.. THEY want honey and maple syrup and toblerone and struffoli, and a triple AAA for each house.

We are blessed to be able to do this. Other than that I just have a few gal pals, some year ornaments for my sis and niece's to purchase, and some charity donations and supplies. I am not going into debt for Christmas and I am trying to keep the true meaning of Christmas at the forefront. We will be drawing baby Jesus in the manger and giving it a prominent place in our home.

I'm knitting for Christmas gifts - keeps me productive, and give people things I hope they want - homemade gifts are always nice.

Thankful for the 4 legged kids as we are headed to freezing temps at night. I know I'll be nice and toasty warm with them cuddled up to me...especially Dixie who likes UNDER the covers when it's cold

I am thankful today that we bit the bullet and finished (temporarily) the leaves in the back. There will be more but it's a good start. I've been biting a lot of bullets lately since the weather has been either cold and rainy or cold and miserable -- not my kind of weather.

I found my rotary cutter, so now I can get on with working on the 3 quilt centers in the Round Robin Quilt group I'm in!! I haven't quilted since the Spring and I'm looking forward to getting these done! Without a rotary cutter, I've been STUCK I'm SO happy!!

Have fun with them, Susan. I love quilting, but haven't done much for several years. I do have a quilt all cut out and ready to go. It's king size, and all batiks in blues, from the lightest to the darkest. It will be a quilt for our bed. I had to buy some better lights so I could accurately tell where to place the different fabrics.

I used to help my mom quilt. At her estate sale we sold a large quilting frame and also a smaller one and LOTS of thread and fabric. It's been years since I've done any though. All of her were completely hand quilted.

I'm thankful I just need one more medium priced gift for my granddaughter.

I am thankful I can do Christmas shopping on line and avoid the stores.

I'm thankful that our burst water pipe happened while we were standing there, and that Bob was able to shut it off outside, quickly. We have a company coming today, around dinnertime, to help us with the line. It's the same company that helped us that out the line on Wed and they know our financial situation.

I'm thankful I have my health this year and that our children and grandchildren are all healthy. I am thankful tax school is done for another year!!!

I'm thankful for warm clothing.

I am thankful for the heat that I hear coming thru the vent.

I am thankful that I live in a community of diversity and acceptance where charitable acts are an everyday occurrence.

I am thankful that I have managed not to let the news about the shenanigans of our country's political leaders get me (too) discouraged about the future.

I am thankful I fried those thousands of damn honeyballs ( struffoli ) with not too many oil spatter burns! And so thankful my sis called to unburden WHILE I was doing it ..thusly (< is that a word??) giving me something productive to do besides listen. 😆

Warm clothing and heat are things I am thankful for also!!
