I'm thankful all the snow has melted.

No need for a heated floor here in the subtropics. We're very rustic anyway.

My friend Diana came over this morning and worked with me for several hours prepping the floor. Crumby work made easy with good company. We got lots done and may be ready to go by Friday.

We may also make a quick trip to Ca. next week. Diana needs to renew her visa. I need medicine and to maybe get my head x-rayed from my fall.

I'm so thankful for my helper friends.

Seriously giggling over me not remembering where you're from. DD has heated concrete floors so that's what I think of first.
That would be a good idea for an x-ray. Things don't always show up without. Better safe than sorry after all you've been thru this year.

I'm thankful for all the people who will be helping us - apparently Bob should be getting Guaranteed Income Supplement and I should be getting more income support as well as more pension.
We're also thankful that we have a Home Maintenance company come out to help us with our frozen pipes that we've been dealing with for 4 days - we've been using a heater and freeing them up, but now that's not working either. The co would come tomorrow, but I got a call saying they will be here today (advised us to free up the pipes with a heater, but the heater isn't working anymore).
I'm also thankful that we will be getting financial support until our backpay comes, for both of us. We go tomorrow to meet up with the lady who will help us with all the forms.

Today is Pearl Harbor Day. I am thankful for all the brave men and women who served our country as well as those who now serve to keep us safe. Most of you will not remember December 7, 1941, but I do.

I'm thankful for all of those who risk their lives for our freedoms.

I am also thankful for Caring Cars who gave me a ride to Edmonton (3 hours each way, and 2 hours in the dentist's chair = 8 hours away from home)

My mammogram showed a mass and I will have a biopsy after the first of the new year..without early detection who knows how the consequences would change.

Thank you. I feel fine about it. I am a strong believer that we all have a life story...ups and downs, curves, and straightaways. I am happy to still be on the trail and while this turn of events does not thrill me, and is anxiety producing, it is part of my personal ride. Just glad that I am living in a country where the tests are available to identify problems quickly.

Rosie - we all have our ups & downs - it's the "human condition" we call Life.

Hooray - our frozen water pipe issue is fixed! Guys came, and found that we have a T-connection next to the hot water heater that froze. Got it thawed, and now we know where to insulate to keep it from freezing again. It's been frozen off & on for 4 days, so we're happy to have water "all the time"
Tomorrow we're going to see about other assistance we can get - hooray on that one too, just before Christmas!!!
