Sally--
You were right--re my "Queen's Tears" blooming again after the one bloom I fussed about.
It is now swnding out quite few blooms. Gosh! I sure need a bigger display to put this huge
plant on????
I could sacrifice the coffee table between my 2 sofas--but then I will have to move it again
when the Amaryllis blooms. it is still sitting in the shop in a dormant state.
Just some green leaves shooting up. I believe in waiting until there are signs of blooms showing.
Then I have to hurry up and bring them upstairs.

it will be interesting to see what all shows--how sturdy the bloom stems are--how many blooms emerge.
Just curious--as last summer was the 1st time I planted my Amaryllis outside in a bed.
it sure has massive roots when I dug it up. Crossing Fingers!

Happy new year!!! Lots of rain yesterday and today. Sallyg, it WAS pretty mild out on Sunday. Mike and Bonnie went on a "polar bear" motorcycle ride, but it wasn't very cold to be considered too "polar bearish" LOL. BillySally, glad to see you here in our neck of the woods. Hope those grandkids are feeling better by Friday! Even though Bonnie felt fine on Sunday, she came down hard with the flu yesterday. The dr in the office she works at came down with it last Thursday. I mostly stayed holed up in the basement watching movies on dvd, trying to stay out of the way and hoping I don't get it. She had the flu shot too, but it didn't stop this particular strain.

Hi Terri!
The twins went back to school!
What a shame. I got the flu shot too. I hope it keeps me safe.

It seems the Flu that is going around with all the coughing is a virus bronchitis--
and nothing much can be done to doctor it up.

Many people at the HD were all coughing--including me. I am near the end of it, though.
Hope it goes away soon! Gita

Today was unreal - mid-60's! As much as I loved the mild weather, it just didn't seem right.

I hope everyone is enjoying the same glorious sunshine as here. While i'm not gardening, it's given me the energy to tackle some housecleaning. Then I run outside for a minute to shake out a dust rag or rug Thumbs up and see the sun!

Maybe that's why I was able to tolerate a little basement-cleaning, a rare event Smiling

I'm going to force myself to do a little more cleaning because I left some things half-finished. My next big push will be at the end of the month, when my California sister comes to visit so that she, Virginia sister and I can sort through containers of things I brought up from my parents' house. California sister is very sentimental, so I'm hoping she leaves with a lot of the stuff currently crowding the finished part of my basement Crossing Fingers!

good luck. My sister in Florida didn't have the option or desire to take much of mom's or aunt's stuff. And I don't want to be too hasty either to pass certain things along. One thing SIs said which is true- keep a mug, you always can use a mug and think of your loved one.
