@5601Lisa - I had heard that Mike Pence was taking up temporary residence in DC, at the time I was wondering if it was in Devin's neighborhood, but hadn't thought about it being in yours, then I remembered that you first came to DG from knowing her. At least the inconvenience with the Secret Service is just about two more months. When I was growing up we lived on the same street as G. Gordon Liddy when the Watergate scandal broke. No Secret Service, but plenty of reporters to deal with.

Well, Lisa, it's coons and groundhogs that go for sweet potatoes here. And I must say that after watching the first season of 'Lassie" shows which are full of some kind of mystery for Lassie to solve, I'm willing to go with your theory of Secret Service snatch!
Tempting isn't it to recreate the scene and stake it out. Don't be surprised if a Lassie look alike is seen in your vicinity. Maybe all the Pizzagatters are ready for dessert? Not all of us living in these interesting times also live in such interesting neighborhoods.
Of course, this begs the question of Why you left a delectable on your deck and what you will bake for the new residents? I hear there is a famous Pecan Nut Log favored in the midwest. Anyone remember Stuckeys?
