This blooms around 14 inches tall and makes a clump fast. The white is really white and stands out.

You are right, Leslie. I had a couple of the pots on the porch and those open blooms survived but not unharmed. Here is a photo of one of my favorite little guys. Fancy Sparkler, Tasco, 04. You can see the dings just from the hail that bounced after hitting the ground.

Tingle is adorable- I'm fond of white and yellow blooms. And Cosmos is really wonderful! I love that it gets as tall as it does- that's really nice to see in an early bloomer.

The blooms on Cosmos are larger than most other SDB blooms. Maybe that is why it makes such a nice clump.

SDB Earth And Sky is by Donald Spoon, 2006. It has been listed as a rebloomer but it has only had spring bloom for me. Someday I am going to work on getting all my rebloomers, more or less, together so that I can give them extra water to keep them from going dormant during the summer months....... someday

This one blooms every spring. If I had to recommend MDB's for warmer areas I would definitely include this one.

Thanks, Mary Ann. It actually can look almost black in some lighting. It is a reliable spring bloomer and that is important in my garden.

I have these growing in an old zinc wash tub. They make quite a cheerful tub of little yellow blooms. Rebloomer too.

There is a lot of green on this little guy. My camera changes greens to tan.

Some of the little guys really took a beating in this mornings hail storm. This little SDB looks like it never knew there was a storm.

Bonnie, I'd love to see a shot (or some shots) of the whole tub full of yellow blooms

After todays brief, but quite horrific, hail storm it will be a tub of late blooms this spring. I checked and I have some stalks yet to come so I will take a photo when they bloom.

It is a well know fact on this forum that I am not a champion photographer. And as time goes by I seem to be getting worse. The first photos I took of this iris was blurry so I deleted them and went back out and took some more. They were blurry too. So, I deleted them and went back out and took some more. They were blurry too. So I have come to the conclusion that this is a blurry iris. Since we had no photos of it in the database I put a blurry one in. As soon as someone grows this iris into a non-blurry condition I will delete my photo from the database. smiles.....

Bonnie, when my DD was little, she was blurry too but she grew out of it. Hopefully, your iris will!

I can sure sympathize with the blurry photos. Here the blooms try to jump out of the frame due to the wind. Or if I'm out early enough to be ahead of the wind, there's not enough light. Taking a reasonable photo is a pain. I really appreciate photos from folks who know how to get the task accomplished!
