piksihk,
I think that could be 'Rage of Paris', it is often hard to tell from an early first bloom. I do think there is a lot of resemblance between the two.

I looked over my daylily order and there was one plant on the list that I believe could be my mislabeled 'Mister Lucky' (pictured in above post) and it is :
Femme Fatale'

Any guesses or opinions?

Here's the photo of Tribal Council--my first bloomer this year. The color isn't right, it is really a very dark red. I think this looks more like purple.

Another NOID Smiling
I call this one my ever-blooming yellow. Once it starts blooming, it usually continues to send up scapes throughout the entire summer. This one is potted up and started early in the greenhouse because it's going home with one of my students.
The throat gets greener and the bloom gets a little flatter as the season progresses. It averages 28" with. 5.5" bloom, tet. My mom bought this one for me about 15 years ago, so it's been around for a long time.

I double checked the Mister Lucky and the Femme Fatale' plants today. They have done very well in one spot and not nearly so well, just a few feet down in the same row.
Anyhow, it appears the plants must have been mixed up when they were bundled, I now have some Mister Lucky (about four fans) and Femme Fatale' ( three or four fans) growing together in a large clump. Then it looks like in separate planting down from that a couple of fans of Mister Lucky and separate from that a couple of fans of Femme Fatale'. I'll just have to dig the mixed clump up this fall and divide it into the proper sections. That should be interesting because at the rate they are multiplying that might be quite a puzzle to solve. I do hope the separate plants catch up with the large clump during the season.

This is a time when knowing if one or the other had anthocyanin at the base of the leaves might help. If one does and the other does not, it would make separating them much easier. Since that tends to lighten later in the season, checking and making a note now would be helpful. Then you'd know to be looking for it when you are ready to separate the clump. They may be the same, or they may have that difference.

Two cultivars blooming in the garden this morning:
Paper Butterfly: This one pleased me very much.

Lullaby Baby: This one needs to learn how to pose for the camera and hold it's head up. It may need modeling lessons.

I have some to post. Yippee!

Glorious Autumn - my notes say it's bloomed single in the early season before.

Too Many Petals - sorry it's so dark.

Great pics, Larry and Leslie! I love Paper Butterfly and Glorious Autumn is always a good one to see. Funny how the color changes in different soils. My Paper Butterlfy looks more peachy for me (but I actually like the pink tone better!)

Only one new one blooming today, and hope that the strange weather is playing a part of the coloring on this one. I got it because it's relative is Key To My Heart, and I was hoping for a similar color.

Raining again today, and it was darker out this morning than usual, so I actually had to use the flash on some shots. I really need a week or two for the beds to dry out some.
