This was sold to me as Betsy Boo, which it is not.

But it is a faithful bloomer and it increases every year. It is " growing" on me!

I think you are right! This is in the school garden and we are the Greendevils 😁

I do remember getting some devil may care but thought we lost it when we moved the garden during construction/expansion.

They look similar. I am wondering if it might be 'Flirtatious Gal,' not because that name rings any bells with me but because Rocktop Iris from whom I order irises every year has it. It would have been a bonus iris. This is not an iris I would ever have ordered ... hitherto ... However, this NOID, the NOID that may be 'Champagne Elegance,' and 'New Image' (a bonus iris from last year) have all grown on me ... so to speak. Here is a picture from RockyTop's site:

Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris (Iris 'Lime Smoothy')

This one mysteriously appeared the other day in an older iris bed; of course, no label. Am at a loss about its origin. I know for sure I didn't purchase it (not that I wouldn't have). Could be another senior moment though. The beard has a horn indicating it is a space ager and has a vague similarity to Solar Fire. I like it and will transplant to a better location when appropriate. These are strange times, I wonder, hmmm, do you think it could have come from outer sp….

Yes, a bit difficult to see on that photo.

A mysterious LA??? Came from a garden rescue of a plant collector. Was in an unlabeled clump of stuff.







That purple is kind of unusual in the LAs I have seen.

Alright! As we wait for irises to bloom, sometimes when they do, they are not "as advertised"!

EW doesn't have the striations next to the beard, nor does it have that gray edge on the falls.
