Yeah, Wally world, and other big box stores often have unreliably named iris. Yours is very pretty and sure produces a lot of buds! I like the sanded color at the hafts, and you are right that it may help ID it. Hate to state the obvious though - there are a lot of yellow iris.

Check out Spirit of Memphis as a possibility Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Spirit of Memphis')

I am sure others will have suggestions too.

Welcome! Richard to the Iris Forum!

I hope someone can ID that pretty yellow iris for you. It is a beauty.

You are right, Harvest of Memories does not have the brown lines and Savannah Sunset is orange. Good luck!

Spirit of Memphis does look an awful like my mystery yellow iris. The one pic of the really dark veins was really striking in person.

I will say that I'm not a fan of this iris. I dug up the bed that was supposed to be HoM and Savannah Sunset, which also became home of a stray "Damned Dirty Iris" that looks so much like Champagne Elegance. The bed was home to Eternal Bliss and some how those were interbred (thank you bees) and the Champagne Elegance was the bastard child.

Actually if the bees were at it, that is a seedling unique from Champagne Elegance. I love the flush of pink in the middle of the standards.

The "Champagne Elegance"esq iris was not in the bed during two or three years before I dug it up. I gave some to a friend and that next spring she said that she had blooms coming up. When they bloomed she said that an iris that I didn't think of came in (CE). She sent me a picture of it and we called it the "Damned Dirty Iris" since it wasn't Eternal Bliss. But after searching and comparing pics I believe that it is CE. I might be wrong about the crossing by bees, but i will call it a happy accident.

I rescued a huge clump of this NOID from my work last fall and stuck them in an old pot until I could find a place for them in the gardens. And this happened!!!

I love it --- any ideas on the cultivar?

Life has been hectic and I am just now getting back to trying to ID some NOIDS that bloomed this year. This one came labeled "Pink Charm" but when it bloomed - SURPRISE! I've searched but I can't find a matching reference pic. Anyone got any ideas?

This plant was given me by a friend of a friend in early May this year. Two weeks later, taDAAA, it bloomed! You can see how short it is; it will likely be taller next year. I haven't found anything similar, beginning to think it might be a seedling.

I have a bunch of NOIDs and seedlings that were scattered about in the yard. I put a few to grow in large pots. Some are looking quite good, but have not yet bloomed. Once they bloom, then I will know if I like them. As to where I will put them. I guess I will have a NOID and unknown seedling bed. Or maybe scattered among my perennial beds.

I have this one that came as Chickasaw Sue but someone said it is not because this Iris has yellow in the falls.
The first two photos are the same Iris,

Well, 'Qualified' opened this morning... except it's not 'Qualified'. Have just contacted the supplier to see if they can ID and replace it. Not sure if I like the plant I've got yet or not; will see how it goes over the next week as it blooms.

Any thoughts as to what this may be?

It is quite pretty. Your vendors carry so many different ones than the US that I would be afraid to hazard a guess.
