At&T Uverse is not satellite nor through phone lines. It is transmitted through Fiberoptic's.

Ann you're also dealing with this slowdown - what kind of internet service do you have?

I have AT&T Uverse and I need to apologize. It does come off the phone lines but when they install it they take all the wires out of the box on the side of your house & replace them with ???? something heavier????? copper I think.

Clicked on the link again & Timer: 200.35 jiffies (2.0035390853882).

The page came up fine for me each time - 4. I didn't time anything. Were the pics supposed to change from one load to the next?

What I'm hoping to do is ascertain whether that page consistently loads for you successfully and quickly each and every time. Next time you experience a slowdown, could you visit that page and see if it also loads slowly for you?

If that page always consistently loads fast every time, then I'll be very happy to know that and that would help me troubleshoot this.

Ok, I went through about 30 photos on different threads before I hit on one that had to refresh in Cordylines (Tropicals). After reading you last instructions, I went back to that thread and most opened quickly, until I got to Post #979931. That one hung up so I checked your page and the timer had jumped back up to 201.64

Carol, when you checked the page was it also fast or slow?

What I most want to know is: can you ever experience the same slowdown on that test page? Or is it fast 100% of the time?

On the test page the first time was 204.85 the second time a few minutes later was 198.51. After browsing photos until I hit a hang up, the test page was 201.64, so not consistant.

Where are you seeing a timer at when loading Dave's link?

It was there down on the right side of the last photo but now I don't see it anymore.

I moved the numbers because I don't want to know the number.

I only want to know: It was Fast or it was Slow. The numbers do not accurately reflect that.

Please tell me: is the test page fast or slow for you?

I loaded it 5 times. The 4th time, 2 photos on the page were slow to load.

It was fast. I checked it when I had a data base photo hang up on the Roses forum.
