I didn't worry too much until the home page opened very slowly , a section at a time. That got me worried! Hilarious!

"Very slowly" has only happened a very few times recently but "jump to new" delays are frequent.

For your consideration. I have no idea if these are computer issues or NGA issues but thought they were worth showing you.

Can't open Goodies at all to post a Multi Plant Photo - tried a few times.

I looked at this thread a couple of weeks ago, but never posted to it. Here's my experience: I'm also having the hit and miss thing with the photos when there are multiples to be viewed within a post. Also it's slow to load to 1st unread post when I visit a different forum. No particular rhythm, rhyme or reason. It's just hit and miss here and there. It's acts the same way on my desktop Windows 7 using both Chrome and Firefox and AT&T U-verse provider server. I'm not ready to get a new computer just yet. I don't use IE anymore. I'll have to check to see how things go when I use my IPad and will report back later.

I tried to open the photo of ducks and counted to 20. It still hadn't opened so I closed it. Still hit and miss here too.

Whoa, this time when I hit "site talk" all I got was the banner. Are you getting tired of our complaints, Dave? Hilarious!

I don't see them as complaints, at all. I really wish I knew what was causing this. Most curious of all is that this never happens to me. Sad

All I know is that we did not have this problem until the merger. So perhaps some code in combining the two sites may be the cause? It's like this site goes into time out now because of slow load. And it is so sporadic that it's hard to pin down.

That is weird that you aren't seeing any of this at all, Dave. What would be the difference between your host computer and all the members computer access?

Earlier this evening I thought all was well as I was just breezing along. I started to post that here but then thought let me cruise around a little while longer before I say everything is ok. No sooner did I think that than the next page I loaded didn't want to load correctly - it went in stages - and the next photo I tried to open went in stages as well only this time it stopped at the top half of the photo. I started over with the photos series & that time it opened fine.

Either my mouse is dieing , or Dave is fiddling with things...now jump to unread didn't work, and when I scrolled to the bottom (thank heavens it was a short one) there was no unread.

When I was posting pictures to the bird thread, I uploaded four photos of a Flycatcher and that went fine. I always "preview" my posts before I hit the magic button, and I decided I wanted a closer look to see if I chose the best pictures. The second photo wouldn't open at all for me. It did post to the thread just fine, though. I just thought it was weird that a photo I had just uploaded from my computer wouldn't load. Very weird.

Sandy, I'm also using Chrome on a laptop, but today seems to be worse than it has been.

I also had trouble loading the pictures in the Monarch article and the "jump to first unread" has been really stuttering today. Some of the recent pictures on the front page are also loading slowly. Before the merger, I can't recall ever waiting and watching a picture load slowly from top to bottom.
