Just wanted to pop in and say how much I enjoyed the swap with everyone. We really had a great swap and I can't wait for next year!

Dnd, please don't forget to treemail me with details for the donations. As soon as I get all these finished and packaged I'll work on the donations. I'm also really sorry you had such a wreck of a week. I do hope you got some things you wanted. I know I sure did.

Elena, as soon as the pentas is ready I'll treemail you. It shouldn't be too much longer. We just have such a long season here. It's really been nice that I've had some lone holdouts this year on the seeding part. Its been nice to have it come in waves instead of everything at once. I'm still enjoying the last of it but expect everything to die back by Oct. :(

If anyone needs anything from me, let me know. I'll do my best to help. Great swap guys and Dnd, you did a great job. Thanks so much for doing this. It's always one of my favorite swaps. Smiling

Val, I'll stick a pack in your baggie. No problem!

Karen, the dahlia flowers are dying but I'm not sure I see any potential seeds. It's hard to tell with them since they have so many petals. I haven't seen any pollinators around them but the red one is by the lavender moonvine and it is getting pollinated like crazy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! There are still flowers coming so I might try pollinating them myself.

It is so heart-warming to come back to everyone excited from the seed swap and saying that they enjoyed it. Purpose fulfilled! Smiling

I'm sorry I'm only now getting to respond to your comments, but thank you everyone for the sentiments. It would have been bad if the job was a tedious or boring one. Fortunately, it was neither; quite the opposite, really. The timing was poor, I would have much rather been here keeping up with the swap chat threads and staying on top of the other, numerous things I needed to be doing, but at least it was still time well spent filling in somewhere until they could hire a person to fill that spot (which should happen early next week).

Despite not having as much time invested in the swap the last few days as I would have liked, it has been so much fun. You guys are a hoot and I love chatting with all of you...between chatting, dibbing, and trading, it's been a lot of fun. I'm already working on ideas for when I think the next swap should be. On that, I'm starting a new thread soon...

Elena, no worries if they do not have seed. I have this one dahlia I bought this year that the flowers did not produce seed or at least any viable seed. So this one is going to be dug up soon and I'll save the tubers. I was disappointed because it was one I really wanted to share seed of this year. I was hoping it would go ahead and bloom one last time but there aren't any buds on it. If yours do not come, I'm still going to send you the pentas. Seeds are for sharing and I love to share the things I love in life. If you want them, I'm happy to send them. Just treemail me your address and when they are ready I'll send them on.

Thanks Karen! The flowers take an awfully long time to die back so maybe it is too early to tell. They are getting lots of buds and should keep blooming until the first hard frost.

Thank you everyone, especially DND! It's been great fun, and went SO smoothly!

I'm all packed, except for two trades that I left at work. I'll get them mailed tonight or tomorrow.

(I think this is my first swap ever where I didn't run out of some seeds or lose them! In fact I filled a lot of trades from one box, thinking "these are OLDER than I intended for this swap!" Then I found the OTHER box, with all the NEWER seeds. So some people will get one packet from 2013, plus another packet from 2016.)

That's great to hear! I look forward to seeing you next time. That goes for everyone else, too! This really was a great and smooth seed swap, the only glitch being the mistake in start time (off by an hour), (but I'm not sure that impacted you the first night anyway Smiling ).

Dnd, I sent my seeds today. Hopefully it won't be long but it seems we're on nearly opposite sides of the country. Smiling I also added my NARR donation in it's own bag along with my other seeds. I hope it's a great donation for you as well. I do remember reading about last years donation. It's a good thing girl. Smiling

I appreciate that Rick , My memory is something that goes around the plants after a season ,
Washes away , leaches out , sinks down , after a year , non retrievable data storage , lost in cloud .. etc Glare Smiling
