An idea from another buyer--since the sale was on a gmail address, she started a gmail account just for this sale. Her emails went through extremely quickly. FWIW in the future.

Lori, It sure was pricey! I've always wanted to say it...and not mean it...my check is in the mail!! Hilarious! Hilarious!
And Dave, that's a great idea, but it was my gmail account that took 8 minutes, or so it says! It'd be a great idea to keep track of the sale in general, though, to have a separate account just used for a short time!

I got several on my must list. I am checking all my notes (on different pieces of paper) on how to use Pay Pal. Otherwise will send a check. Except for The Black Douglas which I didn't get ,my wants were medians.

From what I understand the answer is NO unfortunately. I believe the sheet shows all that were available for sale in all phases. That said I am surprised by what is available for tomorrow's sale.

all obtained were medians or MDBs. Didn't get TB The Black Douglas. We have one, but it needs attention.

Monday/today is last day to order specific iris varieties.
Closeout sale starts tomorrow: "On Tuesday, we’re starting our Basement Blowout Sale, where you can order grab bags of mixed irises, either in Singles sets (one rhizome of many cultivars) or Clumps sets (several rhizomes of fewer cultivars, for planting in clumps). They’ll be available in set of 25 for $40, 50 for $75, and 100 for $150, shipping included. Great for landscaping! If you want mostly Tall Beardeds or Medians, let us know and we’ll honor that as much as we can; otherwise they’ll be mixed."

That sounds like a great deal but since I only want SDB's I don't think there would be enough to fill the smallest order and the only room I have to plant TB's is already spoken for. LOL Everyone involved in this sale is really doing a great job. My first email did not go thru and I did not get the msg failure notice for almost two days. I placed the order again after waiting for a bit and did get one of each I ordered. Smiling

Dave, I'm glad you posted about that blowout sale...it's really tempting. I'm such a stickler for knowing the names of my plants, though, that I don't think I'll be doing that. I went ahead and just placed my order for the following:

Clancy
I Do
Immortality
Little Freak
Space Dragon
NOID - 355-16 TB (yellow/red variegate)

The iris that I'm probably most bummed about not getting my hands on is Minnesota Mixed Up Kid, but since I've seen it for sale elsewhere and I think it's probably fairly easy to come by, I'm not worrying too much about it.

Once I get my order, Clancy and Immortality will be given away as gifts to someone else, so really I'm ordering I do, Little Freak, Space Dragon, and the NOID 355-16 for myself. I restrained myself because if I don't, it'll mean another $40-$50 for another raised bed. Irises aren't as cheap as their price tag online...

Wow, do they have quick response time!!! Blinking Blinking Blinking I'm amazed by the speed with which I'm receiving responses from them. Very nice!!!

I'm also pleased that they confirmed that they have "I Do" because there was only one left when I placed my order. I let them know that I was willing to replace it with Rocky Mountain High if need be, but I was able to snag I Do, so yay! Hurray! ....I kinda feel like I should call it "I Did"...because I DID get it! Hilarious!

And for those who want more: the Pickle Barrel Display Garden in UP of MI will be having a sale shortly, August 13. Will post that when I find out more, but I know there will be varieties not found in the HIPS sale as well as more of some that were in short supply. They will ship, so no need to drive there, although it is much cooler there than in much of the lower 48. They have an amazing inventory.

I look forward to that, Dave! Do post! You should definitely go...PA to MI isn't too far, but I think I'll have to skip that, as TX to MI is a loooong drive!
