They are calling for a high of 88F. I literally cannot remember the last time it rained. We got an unseasonably late rain but I can't remember if it was in May or June.

Mostly sunny. SE wind 5 to 10 mph.

Kelli,
I see the need for that if they are going to add that many people.

Oooh Liz! I won't see those high temps this year, but I have before. That's pretty hot in the Midwest!

Signet,
If it only rains for that long take the downpours. It's the only way to get any rain. Not keen on the wind tho

Dana,
I'm happy for anyone who gets rain!
Hugs for the sinus headache. Those are bad :o(

Linda,
I can imagine the top of the thermometer being blown out if you set it in the sun.
106° on the patio?

Rita,
I LOVE those kinds of storms!

Char,
Oh no! Flooded Birkenstock's!!

Kelli,
Move to Iowa and they will come :o)

Gorgeous here again and I will be mowing when the grass dries. It's super humid in the mornings and this early morning fog crept in. I got a walk in early.

Margaret, I looked up Kamloops, and wow, it's just beautiful there!! What are the warmest and coldest average temperatures that Kamloops blesses you with, since your high is only 50F today?

Dana, yes Kamloops location is indeed beautiful, the warmest temperature is about 100F during late July and early August, coldest about 19F in January and February . I live about 50 miles SW of Kamloops, temperature is usually 8 to 10 degrees cooler at my location as I am at a higher elevation, 3500 feet.

Yesterday we got a lot of rain on and off all day, no thunderstorms. Today has been mostly overcast with high humidity and a slight breeze, have heard some distant thunder, 62F degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy. SW wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Mayo,
It sounds so nice there!

Linda,
Yikes!

The weather radio went off at 4:00 am letting me know the northern towns were getting big storms. We might get some of the bottom half of the rain.

We did. Had more thunder and lightning than numbers in the gauge.

It was 60F this morning and that felt chilly at first. They are calling for a high of 87F. They were way off on yesterday's forecast. It got up to 96F. Usually they are pretty accurate with the temperature.

It's damp, cool, but feels icky out. I opted to clean a corner of the bedroom by pulling things out, washing the wall behind the things I'm going to shove back in and vacuuming all the little dust bunnies that collected. I dusted it, the bathroom and laundry room. Smells lemony and I like it!

We are hitting highs in the low eighties.

Two days ago we got 2 inches of rainfall New Mexico style. For New Mexico style you measure the space between the drops on a flat surface.

It rained today in New Mexico.

Here is the rain starting at sunset. The rain is the pink at the top of the photo, backlit by the sunset. As you can see, it is evaporating before it hits the ground.
Thumb of 2016-07-18/Charlemagne/f367f2

It's raining harder now, the rain (again the pink at the top of the photo) is still evaporating before it hits the ground.
Thumb of 2016-07-18/Charlemagne/7274cb

The rain is starting to fade away as the sun sets. It is now the grey at the top.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am. Partly sunny. North wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Charley,
Love how you measure rain!
I hate it when it evaporates before hitting the ground.

Raining lightly. I was going to walk at first light to beat it. Not now. We are already running the air. It's 80° in here and that's our limit of being hot and humid.

Well, weatherman is predicting a high of l00 on Friday. I won't be here, am going north for a week but, if it gets that hot where I am going, we will be in trouble. We have no air conditioning in our cottage.
