It has been hot and humid for last few days. Stormed Friday night. Neighbor had tree fall on house, limb went through roof.
Now it is thundering so it should be raining ...soon.

OK, the first part will make many of you mad;

High temp - 80 degrees
Humidity - 22%

Wind - gusting to 30 mph
Sky - totally clear
Solar - approximately double that of Florida at sea level

I just watched a steel fence post wither up and blow away, and we watered it two days ago.

And so it goes

Charley

Mayo,
Awesome weather!

Larry,
You're in for a world of hurt.

Cynthia,
I can relate to your weather.

Liz,
I feel for your neighbor. What a mess that can be!

Charley,
''And so it goes'' and I am just laughing!! I've not heard anything like that before.

Up earlier today than ever. 2:44 am, because I needed the bathroom. I beat the rain which started at 2:55 am, lol!

The next 4 days will be in the 90's with possible thunderstorms every day. The rain I can take but not the sweltering heat.

They are calling for a high of 87F. I don't know if it is cloudy or if the sun isn't over the mountains yet.

Finally have the internet problem solved, needed a new high speed modem box. So far it is working good. Thumbs up
Sunny both yesterday and today. Yesterday was so nice, cooler with less humidity. Last time I looked at the thermometer today around noon it said 87f outside and 67 inside. It has heated up in here now, 73 inside, 75 out. The daylilies are still not in full swing yet, but the blooms opening are showing that they enjoyed the cool wet weekend we had. Hope by this weekend the show will really get started.

Charley, maybe you should water those fence posts every day? Hilarious!

Once again, we are/have been stuck in severe drought conditions with sweltering heat and humidity. The 7 day forecast shows much of the same.

Our best chance for rain, for the next seven days, is overnight tonight (50%) and in to tomorrow morning (60%).

Very dry yards here. Even the weeds are showing signs of stress. (No lie) I'm seriously starting to be concerned about spontaneous combustion in our yards. Never before have I had such a concern, here in Ohio.... Confused

It was 93 here yesterday and going to be in the lower 90's today and tomorrow with a chance of rain. Hopefully we can rain. Crossing Fingers!

Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Char,
Modems do need replaced. I'm glad it was an easy fix.

Dana,
I hate those rainless times. It gets downright scary when you use a sand point. I sure hope your forecast is right!
I hear ya! Our grass has been so dead it crunched. I only had to mow occasionally under the trees. The grass luckily just went dormant and came back, but gee, it's not good.

I mowed yesterday and was done 15 minutes early. I must have been efficient or else running from the mosquitoes sped me up.

They are calling for a high of 90F. It was bound to happen eventually. Around 6:30AM it was 62F, which was nice. We don't have the humidity and cloud cover to hold the heat in at night.

Some people here have stopped watering their yards and let them go to weeds and dirt. We have to cut back 25% from our water usage from last year or else pay higher rates. That is hard for us since we were already conserving last year. We water our grass the max allowed, which is 8 minutes, 3 times a week. Remember that is doesn't rain here more than half the year and we haven't gotten our yearly average amount in years. Our grass looks pretty bad, and is full of weeds like I've never seen before. Some people have put in artificial grass. That does not appeal to me. In old California, people had dirt yards raked smooth and clean. That appeals to me more than artificial grass. I've lost all of my daylilies except for the ones in pots. I didn't have a lot but I liked what I had. I may have lost my favorite iris ('Jumping'). Still, they keep building more houses and spend money on useless stuff instead of desalinization plants. Grumbling I've heard that only 5 to 8% of the water usage in CA is residential but they squeeze us. Industrial parks have big lawns and water so much that the water runs out into the street. O.K. I'll quit ranting.
